After all that waiting and years of hard work, it’s all paid off! I’m sure we all had our doubts but I knew we’d pull through. WOO!

I got my letter Saturday, it came in a nice, juicy, thick envelope! I have never trembled so much in my life; my girlfriend got jealous. I ran down my 300 yard driveway whooping and hollering! My parents were so proud, my mom cried for three hours practically!

I got my acceptance letter and a nice little information packet-- Just wait till you see what you get!

I wasn’t sure if they’d accept another suburban white male, but I guess they did. For those that are curious, my SATs were around 1900 but I had some decent ECs… I volunteered with elderly, played on my JV Basketball team, nothing extraordinary.

Good luck to all of you and I’LL SEE YOU IN THE FALL IN… BOSTON!

CollegeHereICome, congrats! Where do you live? I heard that they sent out decisions to the west coast first so everyone would receive them at the same time.

my mail has yet to arrive but i am terrified to head to the mailbox. but congrats on the acceptance! i guess this means that the original idea that only denials would be sent out is not fully correct. i would like a nice, juicy, thick envelope too!

ahh i hate it when i know that the envelope will be big. that just makes the possiblity of a small envelope just as daunting and frightening. at least when you don't know, you can be optomistic that the bigger letter is coming later

Previously in the earlier "Admissions sent out" thread", a tad revised.

"So I went in and looked into the dates for it all. The Letters were first sent Thursday, March 17th 2005. The First rejections that were reported arrived Saturday, March 19th 2005. Rejections and Waitlists remained the only things recieved until Wednesday, March 23rd 2005, when the first acceptance was reported from Massachusetts. There were still reports of Rejections and Waitlists on the day as well. There were 5 acceptances and 1 waitlist on Friday, March 25th 2005. From then after, none reported any waitlists or rejections.

Basically, After Wednesday, chances would steadily increase.

As the notice was put up on a Friday this year rather than a Thursday, I'd imagine the schedule for this year will look like this:

Monday March 20th & Tuesday March 21st 2006 - Mostly reported will be rejections and waitlists.

Wednesday March 22nd 2006 - Probably still mostly rejections and waitlists. We'll see [more] acceptances coming up now.

Thursday March 23rd 2006 - Definitely acceptances [in higher amount] by now. Probably some west coast waitlists [and rejections] still

Friday March 24th 2006 - Increase in acceptances, [decrease in rejections].

Saturday March 25th 2006 - Mostly acceptances from here on out"

Anyhow, I still think this will end up holding true. So far we have 1 Acceptance to 4 Waitlists. None have reported rejection yet, though, so thats interesting.

CollegeHereICome: Congrats on your acceptance!! That's so exciting! Btw, would you mind posting more stats...like GPA and any hooks you may have had...Thanks a lot! Are you from MA?

Took each SATs once. 780M 670W 750V 800Math IIC 770Bio E 760US History. 3.76 GPA from exam(<20% acceptance rate) magnet HS in Boston.

Haven't got my decision either :( I reallllly want to get into a college by the end of the week so I'll have the peace of mind knowing that I won't have to work at McDonalds for the rest of my life :)

I live 5 mins walking distance away from campus and A LOT of hot chicks go to BC :)

If I don't get into any Ivys or Tufts, I think I would go to BC. Plus, BC gives special consideration for my HS, which makes BC a very reliable choice in college applications.
