Well, everyone, the big day is less than 48 hours away so it is time to get everything started. Everyone from past admission days, present admission days (us), and the one’s applying for the future and the Gator alumni are excited to know the kind of people heading to Gainesville. As you receive your decision, share your excitement (starting with us, of course :)) and don’t take it too hard if you don’t get in. It’s not the end of the world and if you really are committed to becoming a Gator, you will get another chance some day. Well, without further adieu...

Instructions: For the part where it says “pick one” below, make sure to backspace on the spaces between the brackets. Take note that I changed the questions around from other schools that are related more to UF and not to other universities.

Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0):
SAT (breakdown):
ACT:
Rank:
Total number of academic classes (use your fingers, lol):
Total number of AP classes:
IB student (Yes/No):
Senior year course load:

Extracurricular activities (position in parenthesis):
Job/Work experience:
Volunteer/Community service (list your total overall hours, too):
Honors, awards, or recognitions:
Essay (be honest):

State or Country:
Ethnicity:
Gender:
Income Bracket (low, middle, or high):
Hooks (URM, first generation college, legacy, etc.):

General comments (how you feel, any advice for future applicants, etc):

A lot of people won’t know their UF GPA, so it’s fine to put the unweighted one and just list the AP and IB courses if you didn’t actually calculate your UF GPA or call to find out.

it’s still misleading. the UW gpa is useless, as well as any other weighted GPA calculation a high school gives. it’s not that hard to do your UF gpa…
A in regular 4.0
B in regular 3.0

A in honors 4.5
B in honors 3.5

A in AP/IB/Dual enrollment 5.0
B in AP/IB/Dual enrollment 4.0

why would you post a decisions thread not including a vital (if not the most important) factor in their decision??? If you can get in to UF, hopefully you can calculate your UF gpa but i may be wrong lol

I think most people don’t calculate their UF GPA, so that’s why I didn’t put it. If someone knows theirs and is willing to post it, that would be great I will give out both. (It won’t let me edit the first post btw).

**** Official UF 2013 Decisions Thread ****
Alright everyone, tomorrow is the day. Will you be headed off to Gainesville or not? We’ll know tomorrow. So let’s get the ball rolling…

Instructions: Copy and paste the below form. Fill it out, and removed all spaces within brackets .

My daughter found out an hour earlier then when they said they were going to post last year. I thiink they said 6pm but we found out at 5pm. Good luck!

Yeah, it’s fine. Those who know their UF GPA can still add it, but an UW GPA should still be posted and we can kind of guestimate the UF GPA when they list how many IB or AP classes they’ve taken.
