<p>@DancingK, I was at ISEF and the projects are impressive enough to be competitive at STS too; I wouldn’t say that one is necessarily easier than the other.</p>
<p>@DancingK - I know loads of people who submitted the same project, with slightly different presentations, to Siemens, STS, ISEF, and other competitions.</p>
<p>No, I know you can enter a project into both competitions. Mine is just comparitively lame to the usual winners of STS 
I’m mostly counting on making it to the state level, maybe regional.</p>
<p>@DancingK - It’s different with STS, but with ISEF and other poster/in-person competitions, presentation and how you express the impressiveness and importance of your project can subtly affect the judges.</p>

<p>Nope, pretty sure that’s not true - some media outlets (local newspapers) do hear the day before or early tomorrow morning, so it’s possible that you’ll get good news from one of them sometime tomorrow, but that’s only for a minority of semifinalists. Also, some schools get a visit by an STS representative who brings a huge check and all.</p>
