**OFFICIAL** 2013-2014 AP Biology Thread

@DaneBrick if it makes you feel anybetter, my class just finished biotech… we haven’t even started evolution yet, i think its the next chapter though

How far are you guys in evolution?

@Zeppelin7 We just finished evolution and are now on plants. Fantastic…

We are doing body systems and currently on nervous…our teachers out sick and our sub is not a bio person

someone needs to get the effective fall 2013 AP biology exam. my mock is on it!!!

@DaneBrick Well, currently, we are doing Chi Square, Hardy-Weinberg, and Natural selection…barely started on evolution. So idk, I hope my teacher gets through all the material.

Also, does anyone have a good way of self-studying for the test before actual AP reviews are done by our teachers? I have the most up-to-date Barron’s test prep book, and I am stuck on how to prepare, because I have a strong inclination for science, and want to get a 5 on the exam. Annotating the best way to go? Try a practice test and go over questions I missed for more focused areas of review? Reading through notes? Reading end-of-chapter summaries of the Campbell textbook? Any suggestions? :)

Just getting progressively paranoid over AP time, because April is almost here and last thing I remembered was that it was still mid-February. :B

I have a question… um has anybody looked at the college board website ap bio sample multiple choice questions??? cuz they… were ALL like questions with super long passages that seemed mostly like critical reading to me… does that mean all the questions would be like that… so no simple memorization questions at all??? any thoughts???

@yunatoronto‌ yep its all like that now :(

Now that it’s April, where is everyone in their class? We’ve just got to finish up genetics and polish up on human systems and we’re about done.

My class is all done with learning. We are taking 4 full practice tests this month to prepare for the AP exam.

My class still has around half the curriculum to go…
Do you guys have any recommendations for self-study? Any online practice tests I can use? I’m reviewing…and learning concepts with the new Cliffs right now.

Hey can anyone tell me what are the most important sections to study from in the Barrons book? Plants seem like a huge chapter but I don’t think it’s that important.
And does studying for SAT Bio help?

we just got to the human system and then after that we should be done.

does anyone have the new version practice exam i only have 1 there is another one by colegeboard that came out, anyone found it?

Hey, are there investigations in the exam? Because in the Barrons book there is a section called investigations.

I am pretty sure there are but they are more conceptual for the real test. How are you guys going to study there is about a month left till the AP exam?? Using AP review books??

@lucaria1 Do you have a copy of that practice exam?

I’m looking for a full practice exam from the new curriculum but can’t find any. Anyone have a link or copy they can share?

Just saw the apcentral post a page back with all the practice quizzes so I’ll start on those tonight.
I just finished the Barron’s book (except for the plant’s section, our teacher’s supposed to go through it next week and it’s too confusing for me to self-learn) 8-| The practice tests in it don’t seem that useful…they seem too straightforward

@sillyface where is that at? i don’t see practice quizzes

does anyone have the practice exam for the new test released by collegeboard
