*|*OFFICIAL*|* 2013 AP Government and Politics Thread

I took the 2009 released test today and got a 5, including 60/60 on the MC. Feeling really good about this test, especially since I self-studied.

Alright thanks @OneLove97! I have to take bio this week too -__-

It sucks how you need 66 points to get a 3. That means even though you were to get all 60 right, unless you have any FRQ points you wouldn’t get credit. Wow. That’s just great. I can’t even break 50… I feel a 2 coming along. Hopefully a 3. Good luck everyone! Exam is on Tues!

I’ve taken two practice tests and gotten a 4 and a 5, so hopefully with a bit of review, I can be sure to get a 5 on Tuesday.

Is Crash Course too basic to get a 4/5? I do pretty well on the MC 52/60, not too confident on the FRQs though.

@tspro2014 same here I got bio but my teacher is terrible so I’m not feeling too good(Not one practice test). So I am focusing on Ap Gov this weekend. I’d rather get a 5 on the Gov than a 3 on the Bio.

After procrastinating for the majority of the weekend, what book should I cram from, 5 steps or Barron’s?

Both? Idk lol.

Any links/folders where all of the released exams are? Thanks guys.

Did you try googling “AP government and politics released exams”?

Hi everyone,

I couldn’t find any threads about AP Comparative Gov’t/Politics, so I figured I would make one. The exam is two days away, anyways, so to anyone taking this exam, feel free to share study tips or ask questions!

@futfsu1 Barron’s gives really good reviews of each topic with MC at the end of each chapter, including a CD and practice test.
5 steps to a 5 is what a lot of people use too.

What is the best way to study for FRQs?
I’ve gotten low 5s on the 2002(49/60 mc) and 2009(53/60 mc) released exams so the only thing I’m really worried about is the writing.
All I have is the Crash Course, is that sufficient?

If you look at old posts, dark knignt has said that Crash Course is one of the best prep books. I believe you’re guaranteed a 4 or 5. If you’re still not confident on FRQ, just look at examples.

Anyone taking AP Comp Gov?
I’ve used Ethel Woods, do you think that’s sufficient?

What is a general strategy for writing the FRQ’s?

Praise the Lord! 2009 AP U.S. Gov exam, couldn’t find it anyhwere-

Well the school I’m going to in the fall doesn’t give me credit for it, so I’m putting in enough effort so I can say that I went in and gave it a little bit of effort.

This is from last year and I thought I should post it

.

what do you guys think the FRQs will be on?

Also, do we need examples to support our writing?
