*|*OFFICIAL*|* 2013 AP Government and Politics Thread

I think this is the only one… So Discuss away.

Anyone well prepared for the AP Govt exam?

I think the gov exam will be fairly easy. I’ve been scoring high 4’s on practice tests in class with little to no studying.

I’m self-studying and I think I’m fairly well prepared.

It’s a fairly easy AP. If you’re generally good in social studies you’re probably a 4 or 5 with minor studying.

Are you watching the c span review this Saturday?

What’s C span review?

Have you heard of the channel “c-span”? It’s usually a channel that hosts u.s floor debates in congress. However, this Saturday morning c-span is hosting a morning review session in which individuals call in to have their last minute questions answered before the exam.

Here’s a link to last year’s:

Lol I heard of cspan

-.-, this thread is so dry. Hopefully it will blow up after the exam.

I don’t think we should expect much. Not many people taking this class

How? It’s such an easy course. Pretty much all we did this year in gov was discuss the vices of the us government and current events. Haha.

@Futfsu1, are you sure the program will be on? it’s not in the schedule anywhere.

Are you talking about the cspan event? If so, yes. My teacher has been preaching to us about it for the past month or so. Not exactly sure what time it starts though. 7 est?8? I’ll have to check in on that.

@Futfsu1 @BeemoIScamera My teacher told us today that the C-SPAN Cram for the Exam is canceled for this year.

Good thing I checked out, politics book.

Now my teacher is saying that the cram for hte exam is still going on, 9:15 Saturday. www.c-span.org/journal

The problem with Gov is that its a 2 maker. My teacher said a lot of kids get 4s and stuff on practice tests, but then when people go into the real exam they’re ego is so big and they get all cocky and confident that they end up making a 2. Don’t be too arrogant. You never know what can happen. Don’t assume you know it all.

Well I don’t want to be doom and gloom as I am with other APs.
Beside it’s possible that those people did not study for it.

Would it be possible for me to achieve a 5 on this test by solely reading the latest version of “5 steps to a 5”? I haven’t done much review so far, but I took the class this semester.

You should be fine with the 5 Steps to a 5, although Princeton Review is better. You can theoretically get a 5 on the exam if you just study your notes and if you paid attention in class.
