*"Official" 2013 USABO*

anyone know how to get semi final exams from the past?? please let the forum know

You can take the past IBO test papers as practice for semis.

Good luck to all those going to the semis. I got a 24.

When did CEE post the 2012 test and answer key online (by online, I mean in the www.usabo-trc.org/trc-pastexams/ directory)

Try this: [Dougherty, Mr.|Science / MEDICAL SCHOLARS: BIOLYMPIAD](http://www.rtmsd.org/Page/12253)

Wait, hold on
In looking at previous exam answer keys, I noticed that there were multiple answers for some. Was this true on the open exam!!! And will it be true for any part of the semifinals? I had absolutely NO IDEA that more than one answer was allowed. If so, no wonder some seemed to have multiple possibilities.

Concerned7: if you search up “site:usabo-trc.org/trc-pastexams” on google, you get links to several tests and their answer keys. If there are some tests that are not in the search results, changing the year in the URL should do the trick.

@kitkat522: technically shouldn’t have multiple answers - and there were no questions on the test that seemed like there were multiple answers to my knowledge and the knowledge of the people i know.

Your teacher should now be able to access the school results ie everyone that took the test at your school.

The score report for each student in your school who took the 2013 USA Biology Olympiad (USABO) Open Exam is found below. The Open Exam was worth 50 points, one point per question. The average score on the exam was 17.100. The highest score was 42. Students who scored 25 or higher were invited to compete in the USA Biology Olympiad Semifinal Exam.

I will post results by state and the histogram when they are available.

This site also has the 2012 open with answer key, if you couldn’t find it on Melkor’s link
[Walmsley, Mary / USABO](http://www.livingston.org/Page/12948)

Also, when does CEE usually publish answer keys the open exams?

Man
It’s too bad I don’t have time to study at all for this upcoming Semifinals. Oh well
I only have the 2009 semis and a short practice semi
Anyone want to trade? I don’t care when we trade even if it is after the test. I just want to stockpile some semis for next year. Also, anyone have the statistics for the numbers of people >35? I have a feeling that one of the 7 people from my school got top 5 in the country. (well if the statistics follow last year)

Hi Rupnok,
Do you know if my teacher will get my scantron aswner sheet on the teacher resouce website ? I checked online posted 2013 exam and checked the answer with others and the book, I should score around 28, but my score is only above 20. I think there is some grading mistake. Do you have any way to find out if the grading has any mistake.
Thanks for your help.

Teachers just get the report back from CEE regarding scores, no scantrons. More than likely, just because you went over the test does not mean you know the correct/best answer for the questions. Your teacher should have the 2013 open and key next year when they register for the exam. It will appear in the TRC along with the other old open tests.

How 'bout the baby one then? (Not to discuss but
collapsed lungs can be from other trauma)

Does anyone know what score is needed on the Semifinal Exam to (in general) make camp?

Another question - can anyone recommend a good source of advanced genetics problems?

Have they posted all the past semifinal exams with keys on the TRC site?

Trading exams is against USABO rules. PLease cease.

There are no semifinals posted on the TRC save the 2006 example semifinal questions that aren’t worth *****.
