Or at least change the weighting of part C

Lucky me I got all BUT the most heavily weighted parts of C

So no discussing this year?

some schools got extensions to next week…no discussion please
I think we should all get extensions >:D

Well I’ve heard that some people somewhere had a delay on testing so there is no discussion yet.

how and why do some schools get an extension? I think it’s unfair that they get an extra amount of study time

Do you guys remember the the total points for each Part A and Part B?

Because of the recent number of storms and stuff.
And part A is 60, part B is 120
So yeah part C is worth more than A and more than half of B

message me to discuss some of the part c questions, but give some evidence that you took the test already.

It’s not really safe to discuss because unscrupulous people could still “know” the test by asking others. Thus you would never know if they took it or not.

If you’re really that concerned, look in your bio book.

Yeah let’s just not discuss. It can’t help your score anyways, and it may hurt your chances if the other person hasn’t taken the test yet.

Is there an honorable mentions list similar to the top 147 list published for the chemistry olympiad last year?

As far as I know there isn’t an honorable mention system for usabo.

Really thinking everyone here wants and deserves some top 150 or 10% or something…

USABO is probly the least professional out of all the major olympiads. They should really step up their game, just saying!

@airbus689 - I agree 100%.

The Olympics is a professional Olympiad.

Was anyone actually able to do part C?

question 3 was “solvable”, and 1 was actually pretty easy.
Except why was question 1 10 points? Like, it was def not worth 5 part B and 10 part A questions, at MOST about 4 points and even that is a stretch. It could’ve easily been a MC /:
And question 2 was nearly impossible lol.

@Lucky139: I genuinely thought that Question 2 was the easiest free response question, but that probably stems from my UIL Science experiences. Question 1 ought to have been easy, but I didn’t know what the term (omitted for the sake of fairness) meant, and Question 3 was…essentially impossible for me, although I see how it could have been doable with a bit more studying then the ten minutes I attempted before the test.

What do people predict their part C scores and overall scores to be?
