OFFICIAL:A Rubric For What Colleges Look For When You Apply

ok so normally I’m not one to participate in CC forums, but every once in a while I come across something so ridiculous that I feel compelled to chip in

the trick with any web forum, especially one full of so many overstressed teens like ourselves, is to take anything you see with a grain of salt. this is the internet. there are people here who genuinely possess experience in these matters, and can offer extremely valuable advice. and then there are people who rely on pure speculation, however well-intentioned it may be.

I personally doubt that the top schools rely that heavily on rubrics to determine admissions (or at least I really would like to think they don’t use them). In any case, they don’t use the one our friend the original poster has provided.

I’ll use myself as the example here
being extremely generous with myself, I scored a grand total of 103

and I’d be deeply offended if you called Brown’s 8 year PLME program a second rate college

I hate to seem like I’m bragging, but I needed to address the inaccuracies in the system the OP has provided. And please, don’t call anyone “not IVY material”
