***Official AP Chemistry Exam Study Thread 2012-2013***

@elmohasagun it would be london dispersion. there can’t be ionic bonds or ionic dipole bonds because there’s no ions involved (nonpolar bonds and molecules). covalent bonds are only intramolecular, so those don’t affect neighboring atoms. hydrogen is bonded to carbon here, not F, O, or N, so hydrogen bonding is out. the only one left is E) london dispersion.

nice username btw!!! haha

I never knew that covalent network bonding happens only with B, C, and Si. Or that SiO2 is the molecular formula for quartz.

doesn’t SiO2 a network covalent structure, though…? that’s what collegeboard has seemed to think on released AP exams

I JUST WANT TO GO TO THE MELTING POT ALREADY UGH

YOU GUYS I’M TRIPPING RIGHT NOW i’m so nervous for tomorrow!!!

About what percent do you have to get in order to get a 5?

I’ve created a live chat room if anyone wants to discuss in real time:
[u6e00</a> - Tinychat](<a href=“Live video chat rooms, simple and easy. - Tinychat”>Live video chat rooms, simple and easy. - Tinychat)

Yeah, I’m saying that it is. I just didn’t know that before I took the 2008 exam :(

@ lemon: from 84-08 audit, should be in order so last one is the prac one
There was one released in 2012 too, but i dont have a link for it

To calculate the AP score

Unfortunately the answer is actually X2S3.

Why am i blocked i did nothing

@Blocked from what/who?

I’m guessing TinyChat.

I’m not joing any study chats…we all know how those go.

Ok Someone explain to me:
-rate law. Like how do you tell if it’s 1st order or 2nd order?
-half-life

There are two ways to know rate order. Analytically or algebrically.

Analytically, you know it’s first order if the rate double when the concentration doubles. It’s second order when the rate quadruples.

Algebrically, you solve for it.

Rate 3/ Rate 1 = [A]^X**^Y/[A]^X**^Y

Good God, TinyChat is the worst. People are always spamming and it’s hard to even learn anything seriously. Let’s just stick to this thread.

I don’t want to say “I told you so…” but a chat website used for the purpose of studying with 5+ people is the worst idea ever. It isn’t moderated or organized. Heck, you can’t even type a paragraphs in there!

Wow that Tiny Chat website was extremely annoying.

Anyone terrified of blanking out during the test!?

Nope.

It’s just another test. It’s the last test. Nothing to worry about. What studying you’ve done to this point is what you’re walking in with.

I’m just ready to get it over with.
