Well, folks, now that it's Monday we have exactly a week till the examination rolls up.

So, let's talk about chemistry. Anything of particular concern that ought be covered?

For you veterans--are there some sorts of sure-shot questions that are asked every year that you know of, or, do you recall some sections of chemistry being over abused on the exam (so we ought to focus on them too)?

The test is on Tuesday right? I haven’t even started studying it yet…focusing more on Calc/APUSH, gonna study for chem like there’s no tomorrow Fr, Sat, Sun, and Monday though…

I was thinking really practice the free response questions released for students so that you know exactly what kind of questions come on the real thing? And I think the Barron’s practice tests are harder than the actual exam, but I’ve seen that the actual exam tends to take longer (?). So free responses from Collegeboard and MCQs from a prep book like Barron’s should be good now.
Question, though: any use reviewing the actual material now or is it better just to fix mistakes as they come along?

I was so focused on my SAT, I sorta neglected my AP courses. I have Statistics tomorrow, APUSH Friday, and Chem/Psych next Tuesday. Hooray! I’m seriously nervous.

Beyond my fears, I think I’ll have the toughest time with equilibrium problems. My teacher only skimmed through chapters pertaining to that topic, and I struggled at it in honors. Sucks.

It’s probably more profitable to focus on the Barron’s problems, since harder is better.

I hear that unlike the SAT, you shouldn’t take “practice AP tests,” since it’s too taxing and could just completely wreck your confidence. At least with Barrons you think “oh, well, this isn’t the REAL thing.”

I agree with your other advice.

You should start off by checking each question and as you get more comfortable with it, review it later.

I’m concentrating on AP Calc and Euro this week…
And then this weekend, I’m gonna do some intense studying for Chem and Macro/Micro.
And then next thursday night, I’ll cram for Human Geo hahahha.

I’m not sure how I’m going to go about studying for this thing, since I have AP Bio the day before.

Time to make decisions. (Especially since I have AP Stats tomorrow and AP English Thursday which means no science-studying until Thursday night). Oh time, why is there not more of you.

I’m not going to be able to study really until after Friday APUSH exam. After that, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday major major major studying. I’ll basically go over my notes a few times and just do practice questions. (MC from the PR book I have and FRQ’s from the CB website). Lets go, 5.

I’m nervous about Chemistry, I’m studying Fri, Sat, Sun and Monday. I need to practice on the FRQs I always get confused on the wording of the questions @_@ I don’t understand equilibrium because my teacher didn’t even attempt the chapter. This is going to be one hell of a ride . . .
