Official AP Chemistry Thread (2014-2015)

really not worth studying till 12 that will not help

@APScholar18: Yeah but I don’t want to regret after the AP test that I didn’t study enough, so I want to give it my all on the last day (at least).

Hey Guys! I would also like to have the practice test. Last minute cramming!

higher melting point ionic bonded stuff or covalent???

ionic

@JuicyMango you will remember what you know better if you sleep just my 2 cents your call.

^K I’ll try to sleep early, you’re right. I was planning to go over all the frqs from 2010 to 2014 but I think that’ll take too long. Do you think it would be good enough if I just went over 2013 and 2014 then? Would I be missing any major concepts? I’ve neglected the free response so far so I want to be well-prepared.

Yeah thats what my teacher said, but he told us to just sleep this whole weekend, and if I did that, definitely wouldve scored lower. I do plan on sleeping early today thought maybe before 11, wake up early to do some review and get some caffeine in my body haha

cause idk if only 2013 and 2014 frqs are a good representation of all the topics in the frq of this year…

can someone explain 2014 #2?

They always find a way to ask FRQ’s in new ways D:

But if I’m only going for 2/3 of the points on the frq, will I be fine?

And the world just lost 10000000 liters of coffee all of a sudden…

I don’t drink coffee…am I missing out?

@dsi411 Tbh I don’t either :P… Doesn’t affect me…

Hey anyone got any predictions for the FRQ’s this year, really want to start streamlining my studying :stuck_out_tongue:

Okay to everyone asking about the 2014 exam, we simply cannot post it and legally none of the students were supposed to take it outside of the school with them…However with that said, important topics I do remember are the average kinetic energy only changes with temperature, you should know how to find percent composition of an element in a molecule, effects of decreasing/increasing pressure, temperature, and concentration for both endothermic and exothermic reactions, 1st,2nd, and 3rd order reactions, etc. If you have a Barron’s review book I thought the questions were pretty similar.

@noobphobic I’m placing my bets on electrolytic cells…

Anybody know how in-dept we have to get for buffers? Any good videos out there :P?

Is PR a lot easier than the college board test ? Bc I scored the same thing on both PR tests but my score was 23 points higher than what I got on the offical practice test

Just realized I did both the 2014 and 2013 practice tests in class, sneaky teacher, very sneaky :stuck_out_tongue:
