Nevertheless, I still have strong belief that I may have gotten a 2 :(((((
it had too much electrochem, my class went over it for two weeks at the beginning of the year
this thread is a lifesaver though, all i did was read this thread for 7 hours on sunday and it helped a lot
I feel like I may have read a few parts wrong and I was too lazy to check afterwards. Still pretty confident in a 5 though.
i ran out of time for both parts. I had to guess on 5 questions completely because the time was about to finish. I finished most of the FRQs except for the last question. What does everyone think the required scores will be for a 3+? I think i got no less than a 3, but who knows for sure.
Conceptually speaking, where should I choose an indicator? Where pKa=what? <-- This is not a question on the exam :3…
pka= -logKa
I know pKa=-log(Ka), but where would we choose the indicator in titration? Ka of Equivalence? Half equivalence?
You want to choose the indicator whose pKa is closest to the equivalence, I believe.
Wait why are some people saying that only 50 MC questions count towards your score?
Anyone who has taken the SAT II as well: How do you feel the AP test compared? If I felt okay on today’s test, do I need to spend a bunch more time studying for the subject test?
I actually thought the multiple choice wasn’t too bad. The FRQs though…
10 of the 60 questions are experimental and aren’t scored.
@glasshours i thought FRQ was easier than MC
@taw1020 What do you mean by experimental?
@notachemgod - I mean, my class went over electrochem for two days last year, so I doubt I even got half the points for that question. I felt confident about maybe 3.5/7 of the FRQs, and hope I managed 40% of the points from the others…
I was surprised that a lot of things that came up in this thread showed up on the MC section, though.
Might be the first person ever to get a 0 on an AP!
@glasshours oh come on, it wasn’t that hard. I’m just happy that a lot of people in my testing room set up the curve for the people who pass :). I had a lot of people sleep and not answer either the MC part or FR part. S/o to the failures. You the real MVPS
It means that they aren’t included in calculating your score.
the released version of last year’s exam had only 50q’s and this link also says it:

read the comment at the end
this guy writes the Crash Course book, so i guess that it’s pretty trustworthy.
we have no idea which ones they are, though
@taw1020 Probably the 10 I got right.
I’m so nervous for this exam, my school had a power outage so we have to do the late testing, and I’ve heard that the late test is always harder…good for you guys though! I wish I got it out of the way today.
