Seeing as I didn’t find an official thread, I decided to make one. I saw the “come one, come all” thread, but I found it relatively, dead. But that is beside the point

Now, a few questions:

What period/chapter is everyone on?

What themes, if any, have your instructors adviced you to study for possible FRQ topics?

What resources have you guys gathered so far, are you willing to share it with us?

We have our Enlightenment exam on Tuesday.

Uh, my teacher just gives us an FRQ to do. And that’s it. No “know these for the AP test for sure” kinda deal.

just about to finish the scientific revolution about to start the enlightenment. We didn’t do any summer work but were suppose to have “Napoleon dead by Christmas”

We have hammered “stand alone DBQs” to no end. We had one on the Dutch, and one women during the scientific revolution. My teacher said that they we’re both kinda obscure but were good practice for tricky/weird DBQs. Our TBQs however have been pretty run of the mill.

Well, I plan to be pretty ahead by Christmas, our teacher has the same goal by Christmas for us, but she says we probably won’t reach Napoleon by then. Either way, I’m waiting for Christmas break, that’s when all my strength and stress builds up, haha.

Ahahahha…You are in for a world of surprise. AP Euro History is NOT comparable to US Hist.
It’s significantly more difficult. Taking it self-study is going to be a nightmare.

However, this was by far my favorite AP class. I love history too.

Hm. Well, I’ll begin studying now and I’ll see if I can handle it. I’m self-studying 2 other tests and taking 4 AP classes, with the rest of my classes being Honors.

We just took our exam today on the Enlightenment, Sci. Rev., and Absolutism. So, let’s here’s where the real fun begins, not that Absolutism wasn’t fun, it’s just the French Revolution gets me pretty hectic haha

My class just finished up the last section (I can’t even call it a name… it was pretty much population trends in the 18th century? Just a weird chapter) and we are entering the fabulous world of the French Revolution and Napoleon. My teacher says the same thing. Napoleon has to be deserted on Waterloo or Elba (gosh I forget what she said haha) by the time Christmas Break starts.

We’ve done a few DBQ and FRQ questions that we’ve typed up and turned in, and we do a FRQ with every test that we take. As for study resources, I’ve pretty much got nothing. Just a whole bunch of reading :(

That sounds pretty horrible, we have just received a take-home DBQ, which is the one used in 2004 AP Exam. It’s fairly easy. As for OUR Midterm/Semester Exam, it will be in two weeks, and it’s a DBQ and 2 FRQ’s; then after the winter break, we take the multiple choice portion

I have the worst AP Euro teacher ever! We never use the book, we have had one test and it was BS and all he does is tell us stories. I feel like I’m not learning anything, especially reading all of these posts.
