Anyone know any good site beside khanacademy that can help in physics??

The physics classroom is ok… Try hyperphysics, that’s not too bad either

So to spark this thread again, what’s everyone doing in your physics class? I found out today that I have a test Wednesday on newton’s laws and such…oh boy

Physics isn’t too bad as it was at first. Physics B, at least. Idk about next semester when I’ll be taking C. But I think it just takes some getting used to. And having a good teacher doesn’t hurt either (Which I don’t have). Just reflecting.

We have a test on momentum next Tuesday. Just had a test on Work Energy and Power last Friday.

anyone know where I can get the free response from past exams? beyond the 2002-2010 already on apcentral (:

Got an 80 on the second test…better than the 78one I got last time though. I got a 10/23 on thethe MC and then a 21/35 on thethe free reresponse which isnt so bad but theresmy a lot of room for improvement. Bought a Princeton review book today though and apparently it helped 2 of my friends get 90s on their tests. Now we’re doing circular motion, torque, and gravitational force. Ready for the next test to see how the PR is. How’s everyone else doing?

We just had our test on 2D motion and projectiles on Friday, and we start Laws of Motion on Monday. My school starts a bit later than most others so we’re gonna always be a bit behind. :/

We just finished thermodynamics and are getting started on nuclear physics

Update: just finished Mechanics. Moving on to thermodynamics and fluids.

We’re gonna have our test on 2D kinematics tomorrow.

How have you guys been doing on your tests? Mine are:
Projectile motion: 78 (free response destroyed me)
Newton’s Laws: 80 (did decent on free response, mc killed me)
Next is torque and such and I’ve read over this chapter in my Princeton review book and I’m so ready to get like a 90 on this test.
And what are you guys’s classes like? My teacher just does a bunch of problems on the board and that’s how we’re supposed to learn

I got a 95 on kinematics test. I’m struggling with newtons laws (mostly friction and tension). Is the PR really helpful for understanding?

BUMP BUMP BUMP

So we just finished oscillations and simple harmonic motion. This means we’re finally through with all of mechanics. Where are you guys at?

Electricity and currents.

Well… we were assigned fluid mechanics and thermodynamics over break, but we were only up to momentum in class. We just took the momentum exam on Friday, and our next unit will be angular momentum. My teacher constantly complains about how behind we are, so study groups are trying to take matters into their own hands, lol.

we finished everything but electricity and magnetism. so far i haven’t had much trouble with anything but i flipped through the electricity chapters and know its going to kill me X(.

Doing sound/linear superposition right now. After this we have midterms then E/M. No major problems yet, have As on all the tests (although lab reports SUCK), but E/M should be interesting. XD

Best of luck to you all who will take AP Physics B. I took it last year, so if you guys want to know anything about the test or looking for the best books, or just general tips, feel free to hit me up.

Same here, took it last year, got a 5

You guys should REALLY study up on E&M; it’s a real tricky one, particularly since the equations are so similar

Well… our midterm was a joke. Teacher literally copied questions from practice tests of previous chapters.

Starting E/M on Monday. Can’t wait, seeing as I plan on being an electrical engineer.
