my midterm was very meh. I haven’t learned much since September lol. Is it possible to still study for this test and get a 5 by May?

^I’m sure it’s possible, but there’s a ton of material to cover.

Our class has been so rushed, it’s crazy, like my teacher values every little second of time. So far, we’ve finished everythign in Newtonian mechanics(rotational and translational etc), Fluid Mechanics(but not optics), Thermodynamics, some Wave stuff(mainly sound and springs)

Doing E&M now, particularly on electrostatics

we’ve covered newtonian mechanics and are doing waves right now. i haven’t really retained much though our teacher is pretty sub-par

According to the Ap Topic Outline, my class is about 50% through material which is pretty frightening… We haven’t done thermal physics, magnetism, gas law, thermodynamics, circuits, electromagnetism, waves and optics, or atomic and nuclear physics. Is anyone else in the same boat? I might have to do some catch up before the exam…

@MoldyBrick, my class is extremely behind as well. The only difference is that my teacher is holding us accountable for thermo/fluid mechanics because he assigned those as independent reading.

@bismuthoxide Yeah it sounds like we might have to do thermo on our own as well.

Does anyone have good sources for work and power? Most of AP Physics is pretty intuitive but I just can’t seem to grasp that chapter.

Teacher is a boss. Covered all Newtonian mechanics, thermal physics, optics, waves, sound fluids and we’re on electricity now - already pretty into it.

Covered all of Newtonian Mechanics, Thermal Physics (its chemistry which you should have learned already from Chemistry class), Optics/Waves/Sound, Fluids, Circuits, Electromagnetism…

I have covered everything, now I am reviewing ;)

Covered all of Mechanics, Thermal Physics, Fluids, Waves (we actually did sound and light at separate times), and Electromagnetism. Just finished diffraction of light yesterday, and we’re going into the Wave-Particle Duality stuff.
While I find it somewhat interesting, I far prefer most of the other stuff. Can’t wait for Physics C, since there’s no Thermodynamics, Modern Physics, and Waves (which I didn’t like all that much), and apparently a ton of rotational stuff. Although I will miss fluid dynamics.

Covered everything except for atomic and nuclear physics. I don’t remember anything. I’m going to fail this exam so hard.

I’m glad I’m not the only one!

we’re almost done with everything in class, just have to do modern physics - i barely remember anything, i hope reading the barrons book a couple weeks before will get me a 4 or 5 like it did last year in chem.

Our teacher actually gave us a bunch of AP test review stuff to work on over break. This guy is amazing.

We literally have still not done currents/resistance, magnetism, and optics. We had a college student come in and do 2 days on modern physics, but my teacher isn’t doing any more. I taught myself the basics for optics during the beginning of spring break and I guess I’ll do some more studying for the rest of E&M but I’ll be surprised if I even get a 3…

Hi guys!
I’m also taking the AP Physics B Exam this year, and I was wondering if any of you have any full practice exams for AP Physics B. If you do, PM me please! Thanks!

Our class is almost done, we just got to finish optics and modern physics we need to self study…

but I did some free response problems over break from Princeton Review and I feel like I am going to fail so bad cuz I could barely answer any of them without either taking forever to remember how to start the problem or just forgetting how to solve it.

and I couldnt finish MCQ in time lol :P

So I took the Barron’s diagnostic test thing, and noticed that you need an 81% for a 5… don’t you normally need like a 60%-65% for a 5? Is the test itself a lot easier or is the grading a lot harder?
Either way, I did well, so not too worried, but I’d be annoyed if the test was easier. -_-

Our class didn’t even finish optics, skipped a chunk from Classical mechanics, and skipped a bunch of other stuff as well so I just went with Physics C: Mech.

@FastNeutrino, I believe a 5 for Physics B is around 65%.
