Took the late testing one.

I took late testing too. I feel that the E&M section was pretty tricky this year. Does anyone know when it’s the deadline to cancel scores, when the FRQ part(late testing) comes out, and whether colleges see whether you have cancelled? Thanks.

I think it is June 15.

Say if I really wanted to see my score first. If I do wait until the scores are released, can I still cancel the score? What will the universities see: no hint whatsoever that I took the exam, that I took the exam but canceled the score, or the score (i.e. cannot be cancelled)

For comparison, what do universities see if I cancel before June 15? that I haven’t ever taken the exam, or that I have but chose to cancel the score?

Thanks

Is there a 2008 ap physics c released exam?

Anyone know?

nope. only released ones are from 2004 and 2009.

Aren’t there audit exams or something? Also do you know the dates of all of the released exams? Thanks for the help

Anybody here take the alternate exam (Friday May 25th)?

Trevor Packer @AP_Trevor

Physics B and C:E&M results are almost exactly like last years, but C:Mechanics students knocked it out of the park w/a 19% increase in 5s.

YEAH GUYS!!!

I thought question 3 was by far the easiest, mostly formula based.

Did anyone else think Mechanics was pretty tough and E&M was laughably easy?

Maybe more than half the students received 0 points of question 3 because the majority of the time was spent on that stupid designing lab question…

^ yeah exactly! Thats what happened to me. Seeing as there was an INCREASE (according to AP_Trevor Twitter) in the amount of 5’s given, does that mean there was a generous curve?

i’m surprised 1/2 the people did not earn any points on mech #3. It was tough, but in my opinion far far easier than that stupid lab question which I think i got maximum 3 points on.
Does anyone know when the FRQ guidelines come out?

^Mid-late July.

“does that mean there was a generous curve?”

No. The graders believed the test-takers were more competent. That’s it.

(and I despise the use of the word “curve”, it’s so damn vague)

If they were more competent, then why did half of the students earn no points for number three?

Because problem 2 was time consuming?

Because they didn’t know where to start as it was rather difficult?

I didn’t grade the test, but that is what the graders felt.

And while I’m complaining about the usage of the word “curve” on AP tests… a quote from the head of the AP program from twitter:
