@superstarlala I think it’s a different name for an RC or LR circuit. If you know the equations of capacitance and inductance and how to make a differential equation using Kirchoff’s Loop Rule you should be fine. If not then don’t stress too much but at least learn the differential equation.

Oh man, I’m taking mechanics and I already know I’ll barely make a 3. This class will be mandatory for my major so I know I should be studying for a 4, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to teach myself how to do the free response by tomorrow.

@theslimydog so he is going to waste time deriving the equation? If you don’t know what a time constant is then you might be screwed as well because that is a common question on the test. Does anyone know if we need to know how to calculate dot and cross products when all they give us is the components??? (For mechanics)

GUYS: Do we get the equations on the MC part of the exams??? I noticed when i took that E and M one there was no formula list. If we don’t, do you think I should have memorized things like Biot-savart?

Have any of yall looked at the PR practice tests? I just took a mechanics one with unlimited time and damn. I feel like it does not model the real practice tests.
… or is it just that I forgot everything the day before the exam?? :c

And I have all 3 tests tomorrow Gonna be in just after hours >.>
Aiming for a Bio-4, Mechanics-5, E&M-5

How difficult is it to score a 3 on the Mechanics portion? My college gives credit for a 3 on the Mechanics portion of the exam, but I’m not sure if I can pull the 3 off

How realistic are the PR mechanics practice tests???!

im pretty scared right now bec. its the night before the exam, and i reviewed all my notes in class, and then attempted a PR practice test…

and i was stumped for like the first 10 pblms(some of the solutions used methods ive never come across or cant understand)… i havent even started FR yet?

is this bad?!!
i miss a lot of the conceptual roman numeral questions, and make careless math/reading errors on other ones

what can i do now to calm down and try to raise my score???

aiming for a 4 ( the MC practice tests we took in class… met cutoffs for a 2,3,3, and barely got a 4 on my last one)

@aSoaringAlpaca As with every exam, it really depends on how well you prepared. If you feel you can get at least 50% of the answers in MCQ and FRQ then you should probably be able to pull it off (I actually thing 50% might even get you a 4).
