***OFFICIAL AP Physics C Thread 2014***

Does anyone know the answer to the one that said on E and M. What is the charge on rod X and Y? It’s both positive correct? also was the KE of the particle one Eq? It couldn’t have been anything else because that would mean energy was created somehow.

@tomisawesome‌ Around when scores are released

awww ■■■■ wow. Can you get your scores earlier? I need them when i go to schedule my classes. I mean I assumed I passed them all but i need documentation and its in june

@tomisawesome‌
I’m talking about E&M, not Mech. Also, not related to the test, when I believe a negatively charged rod will make one ball positive, the other negative.

@shutterstock no I believe they bring themselves to the same potential. and induce charge equally from one to the other. See here is the problem, my class did no labs at all this year, a topic such as E and M is far too unnatural to just understand without seeing this stuff in action. Did you have any labs? And also on another note: how come the 2009 e and m test was literally 10 times as easy as this test we just took? It makes no sense :confused: especially the MC

So I got form A for mech today and it was horrible. I had to guess on a few of the MC and the frqs were terrible, especially #2 and #3

@edulol123‌
I had the same one, the third one was a massacre

@edulol123‌ @AndrewJeska I know right? I just BS’ed all of the FRQ’s…just hoping for a 4. :(

Is this the late test? I took both Mech and E&M and oh god it was so hard. The E&M FRQ #1 and 2 slaughtered me and the MC was haard. Mech was crazy too, I was only on problem 25 when my proctor told me I had 3 minutes left :O

For the Form A late test for Physics C Mechanics, does anyone remember the 3rd problem?
I do not remember it being that tough, but I don’t remember much. Could someone post something to maybe refresh my memory?

So scores aren’t out yet, but I checked through a scores portal on my college’s website. I got a 4!! I thought the exam was terribly difficult and that I messed up a bunch, but I’ll take the 4. How did everyone else do?

How can you check your score right now? My college still doesn’t have anything up yet.

It’s up on my colleges score portal. It may take a while for yours or you might have to wait until collegeboard releases them.

I’m going to take honors physics in the fall, and I was wondering if it is possible to take the AP exam with only honors and do well if I self studied some things. I probably won’t do it, but I want to see if it’s doable.

Its definitely possible to self study, as long as you have a decent background in calculus. I recommend Viren’s AP Physics videos.

I got 5’s on both. While I can’t say anything about the mechanics curve because I thought I did really well on it, I know I missed around 5 E/M multiple choice, so it must have been a pretty high curve.

Don’t self-study E&M. I tried and got a 4. If you’re going to attempt it, at least start by January.

I took a course in Physics B. I know my way up to Calc BC.

I literally did not study at all for any of the Physics C tests. I ended up with a 5 for Mechanics, and a 4 (Which is really low by my standards) for E&M.

Honestly guys, this was an E&M revelation for me. Don’t take that test lightly, it’s tougher than it seems.

Got a 5 in EM! I suspect that this one had a harsh curve since the test itself seemed easier than in previous years.

Hey guys, I took the mechanics test as a self study course.

So for those who took E+M, any tips for self study resource? I learn well by YouTibe videos I’ve found.
