Official AP Spanish Thread

Many Spaniards put lisps on their c's and z's... to differentiate from s'.. so anochecer becomes anochether and estar stays the same, but empezar becomes empethar. It's supposed to make Spanish easier (??)... I find that it makes the language much nicer (orally).

Yea, i def. dont think that makes Spanish easier, but it does sound nice....

So who else is here freaking out for tomorrow's test?

I know I am!!!

Tengo miedo, pero s

After Calc BC today, they can throw anything Spanish at me and I wouldn't mind. All I want is a 3 anyway.

Estoy nervioso pero si la seccion de esctritura es facil, voy a recibir una calificacion buena.

my accent sucks. i speak slowly in spanish.

honestly, i suck at the multiple choice. I am so worried, especially if the tape reads the question too quickly. i heard that as long as you answer some stuff and even if you get a lot wrong, you can still get a 3... from what i've read on this board.... i hope it's fo' real.

I speak slowly too. I'm glad they got rid of most of the grammar stuff. Yay. I really need a 4, I'm pretty desparate for one. Hopefully I'll just make it if not then 82 bucks down the drain.

Hey, can someone tell me exactly what they changed for the test? No cloze passages? Less grammar??

They Changed Grammar?

They Changed Grammar?

From what I understand, there isn't a multiple choice grammar section anymore. Multiple choice is just listening comprehension and reading comprehension. For free response, there are fill in grammar, the essay, and the speaking section.

Voy a morir.

Merely a teen's melodrama. Not a sign of future suicide! =P

Does anybody have a Spanish class where more than half of the people are native speakers?

It's unfair. (Don't worry, I'm just being bitter. :))

OMG....the multiple choice grammar section is gone?!?!? T thought it was just the part where you had to find the mistake...

no creo esto...

nope
I was going to take it, but i feel SO UNPREPARED!!

i am ****tin' myself. so worried. i know spanish, and tihnk i will do well on the free response... i suck at multiple choice. if i take it, i might get a 2... so worried.

maybe it won't be so bad. listening and reading comprehension aren't that bad.

Aah, I'm failing all of the practice exercises in Barrons! Tengo miedo!

same here. i just did a few for an hour and i totally sucked... missed so many.

=/

all the native speakers work the barron's book in a few hours.

IMO Barron's was harder than the actual AP last year...I failed the practice tests but got a 3...which considering how absolutely horrible my speaking section was, is a truly amazing feat, lol. For some reason I am retaking the test...gargh...

a 3? nice. i wouldn't retake it... do you think you knew spanish alright? did you think you failed the test? can you give me a rundown of what you did well on... thanks.
