now wait wait wait, before the deluge of "hambre is feminines" comes in:

Anyone have suggestions for summer immersion programs in Mexico to go to the summer before taking AP Spanish? The high schoolteacher suggested going but did not know specific programs. Thanks
Also sounds like the Barron's book is the best?

im going to mexico this summer via a program. instituto something something - i can give more info if you're interested. 2 weeks living with a host family & studying the language / culture /etc.

Our listening proctor didn't tell us that we had to keep our tapes running during the speaking part, so almost everyone stopped their tapes after finishing one question and then started them up again for the next one. Does that mean that all of our speaking tapes are in jeopardy of being disqualified? I'm really nervous about this.

hmm... i read some online reviews for the Barron's book and some said that there were way too many mistakes. i used REA, which had much better reviews and it was one of the few books that was actually updated to the new ap test format

i got a 4. it's what i expected because i was completely caught unprepared for the different format. Although I was really hoping for a 5, I'm still satisfied with this.

I miraculously got a 5. I was expecting a 2 or 3 even though I had a great teacher and we did weekly prep out of the REA book. The reading comprehension was pretty good for me, but I was never very fluent at speaking.
