I haven't seen one of these so I guess I'll start one.

How far is your class so far? Do most of you guys use the Practice of Statistics Textbook. I've really been slacking off lately and I've literally forgotten most of what we've learned. I'm probably going to have to buy Princeton Review and study that for the next two months. Do you think that's enough time to learn by the AP exam?

We just finsished significance testing

Finished t-tests and starting on chi^2 tests.

Just finished up chi^2 testing over here. My class uses the Practice of Statistics book too.

mytuesday, do you have any links to the solutions for the tests and quizzes that the book uses?

Nope. My class doesn’t use the book’s tests or quizzes. I’ve never found the need to look up answers for this class though. :/

Does anyone else here think that AP Stat could be easily self-taught? I feel like I’m wasting time… although my teacher is pretty funny and chill.

Same here. I’m just taking it since I didn’t want to take multivariable calculus instead, ahah.

We use the Practice of statistics txtbk too. Ch.12 test next Tuesday! :-

Not a post here in a while, but we’re just finishing up linear regressions and testing for LSRL slope.

On a side note, I feel really under-prepared for the test, probably because it seems like my teacher oversimplifies things to teach down to the dumber kids in the class. Is there a good way to basically self-study, or am I stuck going through the book again?

Do you guys think there’s enough time to self study everything from PR now?

Aren’t you taking the class? and yeah ap stat is a joke…

I don’t know if understanding AP stats is a joke… but getting 100%'s certainly is.

Still mix up Type 1 and Type 2 errors :P

Type I is bad for the producer because you’re saying that they built bad stuff when they didn’t and Type II is bad for you because you bought bad stuff when you thought it was good stuff.

We are on LSRL slope tests. Same book.
Type I is rejecting the null hypothesis when you shouldnt have.
Type II is failing to reject the null hypothesis when you should have.

anyone have the most recent course audit exam?

We’re just starting the χ square distributions.

class is finished with everything… on to review!

yup, we finished last week… my school doesn’t offer AP Stats so I take it online… is anybody else disgustingly nervous? Like, I took a practice test today, and almost had to burn it, it was so bad… which is worrisome because I have an A in the class, so you’d think I’d remember more from last semester lol (:

meh… i can get around 30/40 on the multiple choice and I’m fairly good at FRQ’s. Expecting a 5… the only problem with statistics is that there’s SO much to remember, especially with inference.
