Official AP US History Thread 2012

Nope. Scopes occurred in Tennessee. It’s biggest impact was exposing the incongruities of fundamentalism and it led to the downfall of WJB.

I wouldnt exhaust yourself by going over factual information.

Look over themes.

are there any online practice tests or released tests?

GOOD LUCK TOMORROW THOSE ON THE WEST COAST (like me)!!
I still don’t think I know enough! Gah!

mr. kreiger, the author of the direct hits/essential content books, is predicting a New Spain DBQ https://www.facebook.com/pages/AP-US-History-The-Essential-Content/190006531099969</a>
lots of apush teachers are thinking Reconstruction or Gilded Age.
me on the other hand, I have no idea.

well actually…

I do have a guess…

not nixon.

@Lesley I know, it’s kind of scary too lol. And dang, I was kinda hoping it was going to have the same difficulty as the princeton review. :(. I’m aiming for a high 40-maybe even a 50, but I guess it’s unlikely. Good Luck!

hey guys I was wondering how many pages you should write for the free response questions. 3 pages?

For the DBQ, I write 3-ish.

For each FRQ, I write 2-ish and MAYBE a little on the 3rd.

Last year, I wrote a little less than 5 pages for each and got a 5.

Late-night studying! I’ll be here for the next two hours throwing out questions.

That MC was ridiculous. Essays were easy, thank God.

people who actually know what they were doing on the MC please share your answers so i may gain some security that i did not receive a 1

Saw a question about Ida B. Wells. Thanks to whoever clarified that yesterday.

How bad is no conclusion?

Say I wrote a really good essay, used 8 docs, analyzed them well, and included a lot of outside info, but completely ran out of time for a conclusion; does that immediately bring me to a 2-4 range for organization, when everything else is 6-9 material?

Aaaaaa

^^^^^^ Remember the college board is watching ; - ;

Same thing happened to me! D: I couldn’t write a conclusion for the second one though…

I have a friend who didn’t finish his DBQ at all last year and he passed the exam with a 4. You should be fine

80% of questions were on colonies or post 50s. Luckily the questions were so unbelievably easy that you could have aced it without studying. I only studied 1754 to 1948 and I aced the mc by relying on what I learned in class about the topics i didn’t revuew. I still don’t like how there were no questions on fdr, civil war, or recinstruction. I would suggest next years test takers to read up on the polar ends and cuz the cb thinks they’re making the test tough by doing this . Anyways, the dbq was ridiculously easy and so wa frq 2. If I could have q do over it would be to pick frq 4 instead of 3 D:

I think I did really well on everything…except the last frq #4 I think I was lacking info for it ; - ;

Same goes for me, haha

DBQ was so good, thank god
