I think it was pragmatic. He's very practical... he doesn't want to know what he doesn't need to know.

yes, Dictator, I noticed a lack of A's
and I doubled checked my non-A's also. haha

and I put pragmatic too!
the detective guy only memorizes useful information, right?
that is pragmatic

"What the deuce do I care about the solar system" (SAT Reading Passage).

LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!:)

yyeah. did you guys also have the passage about the poems and their modern daytranslattions? i really hated that one.

Yeah i hated that one. I swear to god i must have gotten half of those questions wrong in that passage.

Ugh...I hated that passage so much! It was a "go with what feels right" kind of thing.

For one of the shorter passages mentioning Twain, I put the one with "bolder" in it. Anyone agree?

hi, today was my first time taking the SAT. Can you explain about why there is an experiment secion? Also what do they do with the experiment section?

do u remember the one in paragraph corrections? it was like however, nevertheless, supposedly, etc. i put supposedly crap. what was the answer

Madamebovary - The use the experimental section to test future questions. It neither helps nor hurts your score. You don't nedd to post this question so many times though.

I put pragmatic - he forgot information because he needed room for info he would use.

I also put bolder for Twain - it didn't say anything about him being persecuted, so I went with bolder.

For the paragraph edit I put 'In other words' because the following sentence seemed to say the same thing as the last one.

^Same for the "in other words."

Anyone care to explain why the average speed is 80/3? They said 10 miles at 20 and 10 at 40...average is 30?

[For the 1st 10 miles]: 10 miles at 20 miles per hour, so it took him 30 minutes to travel 10 miles.

[For the next 10 miles]: 10 miles at 40 miles per hour, so it took him 15 minutes to travel the 10 miles.

Total distance traveled: 20 miles.
Total time: 15+30=45 minutes, which is .75 hours.

20miles/.75 hours = 80/3.

*** how come i didn't have that question. 80/3 something. and twain whatever it seems like i did not have any questions same as you guys

bump........

oh, I was so stupid! I was rushing on that one and I put 30. So mad right now

Wow..., I got to the 45mins part and then I was stumped so I just made up something...

3 A's in section 10 anyone??
