@ZainSD how did they email you? Was that like this? "Thank you for your interest in Bard College. As you are aware, Bard College, like all private institutions in the current economic climate, has a limited financial aid budget for international students. Our review of your financial resources indicates that your financial need is much greater than we are able to meet with scholarship, loan, and campus employment.

We appreciate the effort and time it takes to put together an application, and we are pleased to be among the colleges you considered. We wish you the very best of luck on your academic journey."

Yes.

Thanks for the info and sharing this concern .I actually did speak with a finance employee at Bard since my post and they were accommodating and fair in taking my call, explaining that it is true about the low endowment. The trade off though includes the fact that they invest and spend money as needed citing their expansive and growing program at several “Bard high schools” throughout the country…Ohio, Newark NY and others in the works…Now… that may not do much for the Annandale campus and operations there, but it does spread Bard’s reach and message regarding education and accessibility for everyone.I have to believe him. Our S was accepted early and is looking forward to attending…

Waitlisted… Hoping this “How Will I Thrive at Bard” essay helps!

@zekosadieurokrem It does. I just got accepted to the University of Richmond and I even submitted my horrible ACT score of 25. Holistic Admissions well and truly exist.

Rejected as expected! I asked for FA and had a pretty weak application. I ran the NPC and for some odd reason I thought I could attend here if accepted despite the net cost being ahead of what I could afford. Nothing lost! Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors!

My D was accepted and got the EEC scholarship. Did anyone else get it? I wonder how many they give out.
