Haha, the only reason my family let me apply to Barnard was because of it’s relationship with Columbia. I am not allowed to apply to Wellesley or Mount Holyoke, but Scripps is okay because its one of the Claremont Schools.

My mom wants me to meet my husband in college. Gah, I hate this.

Wow, everyone was talking about Dartmouth EDers because they heard back, and I checked out the thread. So many acceptances! Good for them. Can’t believe they found out nearly a week before us…“gah” is the right word.

I’m from western Massachusetts, Westfield to be exact, but I would love to change my current location on facebook to “New York, New York” or “Morningside Heights.”

haha cool, i’m multitasking between barnard CC and and my research project. Lol, I read “Westfield” and “Heights” in the same sentence and thought, “you’re from Wuthering Heights? What?”

And yes, I’m a fan of Morningside Heights. I especially love the little park that runs behind Barnard - I forgot what it was called. I want to go back to Tom’s Restaurant, and the Hungarian Bake Shop, and all these other popular haunts that Barnard/Columbia students have loved for DECADES. One time I mentioned to my family friend (a Barnard alum from the early 70’s) that I had breakfast in a restaurant near Barnard, and she bolted upright and said, “Not Tom’s?” It was pretty cool.

Minnesota, and it’s snowing like hell. We have a snow day for the first time in years. I’m quite excited. It feels like a good start to Dec. - was notified about an award yesterday, have a snow day today . . . crosses fingers Let’s keep it up, fate.

Did first quarter grades appear on the tracker for anyone?.. my guidance office supposedly sent mine in about two weeks ago but they aren’t registered online.

wej, good things usually happen in threes… and i definitely count an acceptance as a good thing! I am from Akron, Ohio (just south of Cleveland) and unfortunately we do not have the snow here but we do have wind! Cross your fingers for me for a power outage day!
Cross you fingers for only 5 MORE DAYS!

TEHE:)
i like this forum.
i mean, honestly, i was intimidated by this forum, but all of you seem so friendly:))

HAHA my mom kept urging me to apply to columbia, but to be 100% honest, i know i’m not going to get in…but aside from that, i think i’ve grown to like barnard a lot more. everything seems more intimate and together, which is the way i like it:D

2nd generation korean-american:) but my friends think i’m too “fobby” for my own good ahah i think i’ve toned down on the “fobbiness” a bit these days:)

anyway, my friend is going crazy about getting her result from columbia tomorrow :T i hope she gets in:)

snow…errrrrrrr, it just rained today in ny. a lot. yuck.

saetbyul - AH! KOREAN-AMERICANS REPRESENT! i’m first generation though. i thought i knew why your username looked so familiar! quite on the contrary, my friends think i’m an absolute"twinkie", gd help us…

columbia ordeal for me as well. oh well, that’s korean parents…

seoul was raining, then it snowed, then the snow melted in the rain, and now we have nothing but rather icky ice.

rebama: i was allowed to attend the ceremony and heard his speech live! hes visit will surely distract you a lot! i actually want to go to copenhagen for a demonstration next thursday…but i cant afford being too much absent from school hmm what should i do
