I thought since there was an ED thread on this, I thought I should make one for the general audiences such as me who are applying RD like I am.

I just want to see if there’s anybody who’s also applying Brown in the Class of 2013. It’s my top choice, but my parents are considering financial aid heavily so that’s my reason for doing RD. Anyone else :]?

I might be applying RD. Financial Aid is a big thing for me, too, so I won't apply ED. I just became interested in Brown, and I have to research it more before I decide wether I'm applying or not. :)

Aww, you lucky sons of a gun. I love seeing 2013 though; I'll be next :).

I know about the whole financial aid thing. I'm not sure how much I'd get, but I seriously couldn't imagine even wanting to go to any other school. Hmm...so many options....

I love the pictures of the campus on the website. I have a weakness for any winter/snow pictures of campuses...though the people tell me winters there are TERRIBLE. Having lived in CA for all my life, I suppose I've never really experienced a harsh winter in my life...

Yeah, I've never gotten to visit. I love pictures of snow covered campuses, too, although I'm not at all worried about winters. (see my location- we got snow in JUNE)

The campus is less broken up into separate quads on separate blocks, as per Yale (which was the other Ivy I really loved). But it's not all smashed together like Columbia. There's an interesting variety of architecture, too, which is pretty unusual in such an old school.

I also visited right when a large storm entered New England, and it was raining (this was my week of spring break); though I am fond of my native CA warm weather, I really didn't mind it so much. The insides of buildings were cozy and students had cute umbrellas. People were out and about. (Rather than at MIT, where there was sleet and absolutely no one anywhere.)

Oh yeah as you go through some of Brown's pictures, even in a giant snow storm, you see people out and building snowbears (so cute haha). I was surprised there were so many people willing to step in like two-foot snowfall

BROWN IS SO PRETTY!!!! <3 I just fell in love plus the academics ain't too bad either. Brown just reminded me of my school in a college setting-pretty campus. My school was really really like Brown.

another ED Applicant here.
I live in Egypt so my whole application is due in two weeks AHHHHH major freakout. wish me luck and hopefully i can post something here by december

:O oh woah an Egypt person. But yes, good luck to you misskang! Don't stress out too much and hopefully we'll see something nice posted here in Dec :] trying not to jinx anything XD

I'm definitely applying! I love it there; I lived there for two weeks for Summer@Brown 2008. :] I would loveee to study in such an excellent academic environment that is so friendly and laid-back at te same time! And as much as people hate on Providence, come ON, Thayer is so much fun! :D
