<p>I know! That bothers me so much. With so many things like schoolwork, even the SAT, you work your butt off, and it pays off. But not when it comes to getting into college... :(</p>

<p>Out of all of the interviews I have had, my Brown interview was by far the most awkward...I think its a sign.</p>

<p>And I had an interview at the University of Rochester when I went up to visit there because I knew I was going to apply there. When you plan your visit there, they say that interviews are required so I did it then. Also had an interview at a rolling admission school and about 2 other interviews over the past two years for summer research programs like the New York Academy of Sciences. And yea, about 2/3 of my apps are in because I want the torture over with and I am pretty sure I am going to have to wait to hear from them anyway</p>
<p>Awkward because even though it was for an hour, I always came back to my research and during which time I felt like I spent all this time degrading the healthcare system and I also used the word "autopsy"...don't tell me that that isn't a tad bit creepy. Other interviews I always relate my attitude of learning to my diverse interests shown in my EC's and all I really got to talk about was my perception of educating myself, one EC and research...idk, it was just not what I expected. Probably wasn't as bad as I am thinking.</p>

<p>I'm not an early decision applicant, but regular decision asking an extremely obvious question (since you've all already applied).</p>
<p>I'm working on my application, and it currently says Part I status in progress (or something to that effect). Part 2, essays, says "not started", but no matter where I click I can't access an additional online form or even see the prompts. Am I doing something wrong? Do you have to turn in Part I before you can work on the essays?</p>
<p>Forgive me if this is some kind of severe deficiency of mine that preventing me from seeing something obvious. <em>blinks</em></p>
<p>"In Progress" means you haven't finished Part I. Without submitting Part I, you cannot access Part II. But if you still want the essay topics, there's a personal statement for which you could write about anything that conveys something about you, there's a question asking you to explain why you are interested in Brown and what you plan on studying, and there's a very short response asking about how you found Brown. </p>
<p>There are some (or maybe one?) science related essays, but I am not interested in a science major and thus didn't write anything there. Someone else can help you with that if it applies to you.</p>
<p>Ah, thank you. I'm going to double-check my information in Part I and send it to get started on Part II. This definitely helps me figure out how to schedule my time.</p>
<p>Hey, has anyone not gotten an alumni interview yet? I know contacting admissions now will leave me with the "not getting interviews won't hurt your chances. If an alumni's in your area, he'll contact you..." response, so I'm wondering when's the right time to contact admissions since Dec. 15 is fast approaching...?</p>
<p>No alumni interview call/email yet for me either, deathlyhollows. I doubt there are many alums in my area, though, so we'll see.</p>
<p>I just had mine last week, and my alumni interviewer said that their reviews need to be submitted to Brown online by December 1.. so there's still a little bit of time. Call Brown admissions, and ask them if there isn't anyone in your area who could interview you.</p>
