To stefanieguo and all those who can answer me:

I received this email from Brown in Nov 3th(right a month ago):

If you have not already received your Data Confirmation Letter from Brown University, you will shortly! Due to a clerical error the letter contained incorrect instructions to retrieve your application status. Please follow the directions below to log in:

Go to: Brown University // activate.brown.edu and selection option Activate your applicant account
Enter your Brown Username and Passkey (alpha characters, all lower case) from the letter.
Read and agree to Browns computing policies.
Choose a new password. Your password must be between 8-14 characters and must include at least one numeric character.
Once you have activated your account, go to Brown University Admission and click on track the status of your application.
Thank you!
The Board of Admission

That is why I referred to the Data Confirmation Letter. Has any of u received such an email? The thing that worries me is, I haven't received that letter yet to track my status. When I wrote to the Board they four days ago they didn't reply me. That's why I'm so worried now.

To luna
I am a little bit confused when you first said about the data confirmation letter. I thought you were talking about a letter that confirms the completion of your application.
If you are refering to the data confirmation letter stated in this email. I have one. They sent it right after I completed App Part I. There are my Brown Unsername and Passkey, which I can use to activate my application tracking account.
If you don't have such a letter, I suggest you to call them directly, because they must be crazily buzy these days with the final decision and wouldn't have much time to check the email.
Good luck on all EDers!

hey toast, I'm a prospective philosophy major as well.

I just bought a "textbook" of sorts on epistemology and am reading some introductory Nietzsche (more like pre-reading).

I hope to get to some Sartre or Kirk. (abbrev.) before the year ends.

*Huis Clos/i by Sartre is great, especially if you can read the original French :)

ogopogo13 - they have ties to Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, so that rules.
