Good luck to you as well! A friend of mine is a psych major there right now. You’ll have so much fun! That’s just the average GPA. You probably have equal, if not greater, chance of getting in with all the pre-reqs as I do with a high GPA.

I wish they didn’t hate transfer students so much :-P

SERIOUSLY! I hate it so much. Its dumb that they have such a low acceptance rate for transfer students… I just want to get in so badly its crazy!

From Naviance’s data of a silicon vally high school (about 400 graduates this year, which is slightly more than last year), I noticed that the number of applications to CSU and UC this year decreased consistently. Contrary to this, the applications to private and out of state colleges see increasing. Could you friends here check statistics of your schools? Assuming this is not due to incomplete data (I am not sure how Naviance collected these information), any idea on what could be the implication and reason behind?

@ maomao2000:
OO your school’s naviance allow you to see the number of people applying to what schools? Our school’s naviance doesn’t list what schools people are applying to until they graduate. But since I go to an international school, only 1 or 2 people usually apply for CalStates.

I went to a meeting at Cal Poly with the director of Admissions and he handed out a brochure with the stats for transfers… and the 3.3 average comes from college of liberal arts transfer students - not just psychology specifically! Hope that helps! Are you hoping to transfer into the psych department there for this fall too?

I just wanted to let everybody know that they have started accepting students who did not have any auditions. My daughter just got accepted today. Her major is nutrition.

It says "Congratulations, you have been selected for admission to Cal Poly pending your meeting the following Terms and Conditions. Click on the link for further information. "

Sorry I have one more question for anyone that knows. For those of you that got in, when you logged into the portal did the page look different then any other time when you checked? Was there a sign before you clicked on the application status tab that your page was different then how it looked before?

It might say under your “to-do list” (to the right on the homepage) that you must turn in a final transcript, thats what my Chico portal did and its the same layout.
