omg kate, your my new bff!!! you just described my best friend here in louisiana. we are like the same, except im kind of girlie but i have my non-girlie moments. and holy crap those nicklelodeon shows!!!! there is one, and i cant remember the name where if they said "water," water dumped on their heads and if they said "i dont know," slime dumped on their heads. it was like a sketch show (i think)... and i have seen every boy meets world like 4 times! totally obsessed with eric in the later seasons! one time i was having the WORST day, adn i watched that episode wehre eric stalks tapanga and is like hiding as the couch cushions, and in the bagel bar, etc etc and it made life sooooo good! ok, yes im a loser, but i love my 90's tv (and music!!)

Did anyone ever watch that show on Nickelodeon where kids had like really random and bizzare talents and the actors from All That tried to guess what they were? I forget the name, but all those old Nik shows used to be my biggest addiction... especially legends of the hidden temple, though, because it was like a discovery zone game show or something. LOL, I was a total dweeb as a little kid. Ok, I'm still a total dweeb.

~*~

oh wow, I JUST remembered after a day of thinking what Legends of the Hidden Temple was, I used to watch every single episode of that!

Legends of the Hidden Temple for the WIN!!! that and global guts man. soon as those come out on dvd (wishful thinking right?) im snatching em up and we'll all have a big nostalgic nick show watching party in my room. maybe they're some bootlegged recordings floating around on the internet somewhere.

Oh wow... I'd forgotten about global guts. That mountain thing they had to climb at the end always looked huge. Nick today just isn't as good as it used to be. Oh, by the way-- for anyone who has a xanga or a live journal, there are now blogrings for the W&L class of '09 people if you want to see how truly insane your future classmates are.

~*~

omg random thought. i swear to god that hey dude! is on dvd, no joke. a friend of a friend has it! i totally heart that show

WOOP WOOP!! i still watch global guts and legends of the hidden temple, haha! i'm such a big dork....but they have a channel on TV where i live that plays old nick shows like that every now and then, and it is fantastic. global guts is awesome, i always used to get so upset when the USA kids didn't win. legends of the hidden temple used to scare the hell outta me, when they'd run through that scary maze at the end and those crazy amazon barbarians with warpaint would come out of nowhere and grab them. that's vicious for a little kid.

and does anyone remember my brother and me? i feel like no one remembers that show except for me....it was about this crazy kid named Alphie and his brother, and they had a friend named Goo and a dad who was obsessed with cooking gumbo. ahhh....goodtimes, goodtimes.

coleman, you're awesome!! i can totally relate to the boy meets world obsession! haha. eric matthews is my hero, and he has beautiful hair....lol. i'm still trying to understand it though....he was like the cool popular older brother that everyone loved in the first few seasons, then he just started getting really weird, like he developed a case of dementia or something. either way, he is definitely the man. we have to make sure we get together next year and have a boy meets world party! haha. and don't worry....i will DEFINITELY rock out to 90s music with you....spice girls anyone?? how about hanson? or boyz II men? "i'll make love to you" has got to be one of the hottest songs in the universe.

wow, i am such a dork, but hey....i'm proud of it. and you guys are HOLLERTASTIC.

i'm with you all the way on the Boy Meets World... I used to watch it EVERY FREAKIN' NIGHT. and we can listen to bad 90s music as long as there's some bad 80s music thrown in there...

Ah Spice Girls=love. On the topic of decades, I love the 90's and I love the 80's on Vh1 are amazing.

Nickelodeon is such a thing of our generation. I have never met ANYBODY my age who was not intimately familiar with every single episode of Doug.

(Indubitably, somebody's going to post and prove me wrong. I am taking that risk.)

Well, I won't be that person, I used to love Doug.

Nickelodeon - my procrastination drug of choice until I discovered the full capabilities of the internet.

Doo do doo do do do doo do doo do do. Doo do doo do do do doo do doo do do!

Other pertinent facts that will help in choosing a roommate for me are: i dunno. i'll be playing volleyball. also sometimes i can be a tad disorganized so hopefully no one thats too crazy with a vacuum.

kbags-- what school in richmond do you go to?

okay, a few things....

first of all, doug kicks ass. i used to want to BE patty mayonaise cause she was the coolest chick ever. and i am still thoroughly upset that there is not a real honker burger i can go to in real life.

cecilia, 80s music?? HELL YES! i'm so bad, i love to cruise around in my car and rock out to bad 80s music...."i just died in your arms tonight" is a personal favorite. those ballads are powerful. and i know i look ridiculous cause i dance like no one can see me. but if there were a dancing-inside-your-car contest, i would DEFINITELY take home the gold.

all this talk about the elementary school days makes me want to play kickball and then go find people to trade pogs with me....which isn't actually a bad idea....haha.

Actually, I still play kickball sometimes, it's fun. There's actually an adult kickball league in Central Park. I was there playing baseball with a bunch of actors and we were all laughing at them.

That's four people who listed the OC (and add me to that, haven't missed an episode this season), we should have OC parties Thursdays next year :) And yes I know I'm the only guy in the world who watches that show but in my defense, I'm an actor myself (or try to be...) and I'm studying.

i go to james river high school...not actually "in" richmond but no one has any idea what i'm talking about if i say midlothian so since it's 2 minutes away from the city i say richmond haha

OMG, pogs, i thought i was the only kid in the UNIVERSE who still remembered pogs. Man, i had one hell of a slammer back in my day. And doug.......maybe best cartoon EVER. that and the rugrats. Wow, were all gonna suck at college because we're gonna spend all out time sitting around being nostalgic about things that happened ten years ago. Whatever though, POGS and nick rule!

I'm just hoping that we get all the nostalgia out here and don't act like old people in college.

Speaking of pogs, I was playing soccer this weekend and one just came flying at me, never did figure out where it came from.

omg i forgot about pogs. i used to have a TON but i could never play them. i just collected them for fun. and yes for the 80's music. my personal fave is the one thats like "i wear my sunglasses at night." my best friend here (which, i swear to god, is your long lost twin, kate) jam to that when we're going out and i pull out my ray ban aviators from the 80's and dance like idiots. and doug, yes yes yes. i remember when i was like 7ish and there were 3 nicktoons: doug, rugrats, adn ren and stimpy. they used to come on in that order everyday and i watched it everyday! we had our sadie hawkins dance a few weeks ago and it was superheroed theme. i swear, two guys came dressed as silver skeeter and quailman WITH TEH UNDERWEAR ON THE OUTSIDE AND THE BELT ON HIS HEAD! ya, i danced with them all night, they just made me happy!
