Just got off waitlist too!!!

And btw, did u other guys that got admitted from the wait list get the screwed up e-mail that said. "Congratulations on a successful college search. While we are saddened
that you will not be joining us in Lexington this fall, we know a
wonderful opportunity awaits you at your chosen college. Thank you for
your interest in Washington and Lee."

Then they had to send another one later correcting it "Earlier today you received an email requesting you complete a survey. That email
was sent in error. Two versions of the email went out to admitted students.
Those who were admitted and have chosen to enroll, and those who did not. An
administrative oversight led us to overlook one very important category of
student * those who have been admitted off the waitlist and who still have time
to make their decision. Please disregard the email."

They scared me for a minute. Lol

CHRIS SHUT UUPPP DUDE. you're from bel air?!??! so am i! this is effing crazy! well, i'm actually from forest hill, but it's so small it basically doesn't exist, and bel air is like literally two seconds away. what high school do you go to? hahaha HarCo represent!

Yo, I go to John Carroll. I play Lax there. I live right at the intersection between Red Pump and Vale, down from the Rock Spring McDonalds.

hahaha that's SO crazy, i honestly could probably walk to your house, it's so close. i go to fallston, and it sucks a little bit....haha. i can't believe there are actually two HarCo kids on this message board, but i gotta say, it's awesome. give me a shout sometime if you wanna talk (screen name: i am The Smizz). later homey!

The Democrat is starting to feel outnumbered...

no joke...it's like living in the buckle of the bible belt. oh wait, that's where i live. well, at least i'm used to it. lone democrat, right here. we russian speaking democrats need to stick together, dima.

Yup, we Dems are gonna need some serious solidarity to weather what's starting to look like an overwhelming Republican majority. Not that I expected anything less...it's WnL. Are you joining young Dems beautiyistruth?

haven't really decided yet. i'll prob'ly try it out, but me and clubs don't usually work out (i often go to one meeting, and then forget about it)

I don't mind Dems at all, I more hate the people of both sides (Repub and Dem) who blindly follow their respective parties. I have this one woman at my work (Kleins for the smizz), who right before the election came in blabbering all this stuff about who i should vote for. She said that Bush wanted to start a draft and was secretly planning to nuke China (I can't make this up people). I quickly shut her down, and she stopped trying to convert me, when she realized I knew more about her party and mine. She left without saying a word, she still gives me the evil eye today.

ahaha chris, that's awesome. and maannn, i definitely applied for a job at klein's like a week ago. tell those *****es to hire me! lol, i so have zero money right now. it's starting to be ridiculous. and p.s., wouldn't that be hot if we worked together?!??!

No, you don't want to work there. Its not worth it. I've been there for 2.5 years, I'm looking for a job that gets more hours. They can't give you anywhere near enough hours to save up some money for college, and having to deal with the family is not worth it.
This is coming from a current employee, who is about to put in his 2 weeks.

so i visited W&L--finally and I LOVED it. Its going to be a huge change from nyc though (im such a city-kid i dont drive at all), but on the plus side it'll be nice to be among a republican majority (im an anomaly in ny-haha)

Hopefully it will be nice; I’ve never experienced a republican majority before. At my school: my math teacher tells me on an almost daily basis that he’s disappointed with my political alignment, my biology teacher is this self-proclaimed hippie that always lectures on why the government is wrong on everything, and there’s a socialism club and it has a decent amount of members.

will's school is awesome

Well, that would make 3 of us hardcore NY's at W&L, with me being the most liberal.

Hmm.....maybe I should start a socialist club at W&L, just to see how many people would actually join.

Please tell me that you are so NY that you wear lots and lots of black.

If Dima makes a socialist club, then I assume it's OK for me to make the Kool Konservatives Klub! And Chris, I competely agree about people who blindly follow their respective parties. Although around here (Maine), it's way more prevalent among the Democrats (simply because there are so many of them), I know a few people who are a shame to the Republican party because they have noooooo clue what they're talking about.

Morgan, nothing makes it okay to start a KKK (even though this line does rhyme)
