Official Class of 2014 University of Michigan Decisions Thread

No I’m not even applying to State, so I definately won’t be attending the school as it is also very likely I won’t be going to University of Michigan either. I still have other schools to apply to and ones to hear back from so I’m still excited towards the other universities I possibly can get admitted into.

@Coolbrezze:

don’t give up hope. Umich asking for your 7th semester grades obviously means that they want to see how your performing academically senior year. Based on those grades, they will make a final decision. If you get all A’s (1st semester), i don’t see what reason they have to reject you.

Keep your head up!

@MI2014: what about a 3.7-3.8 GPA 1st semester? (im taking 4 AP classes, very tough)

is wolverine access not working for anyone else…? or the umich website?

did you already get deferred??

getting stellar grades only applies to those students who have been deferred. If you are already accepted, the only way to get revoked is if there is a significant decline in your gpa. For instance, several Cs or Ds. P.S. DO NOT FAIL A CLASS!!! (unless you have a reason to…i.e. death in family)

its working for me o.o

… its just … not working. internet cannot display the webpage. that’s all it says. hm…

maybe you should try restarting the computer, and try again :o

Well I still have interest in the school ofcourse, I mean its a great school… my interest just isn’t as high as before. Also, I definately know I’m not going to get all A’s and as Yosup and others stated usually “shoe in” applications hear back first while " clear cuts" also hear back first… I would expect hearing back from the school with a decision is normal within a month time frame, but others stated clearly its not at all normal for deferrels which makes me more concern.

Yes I did.

hm i tried earlier today to see if it was just a one-time thing. but it still doesnt work. whatever nvm

thanks though :)

@CronoTriggerfan: My stats are in this post here - http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-michigan-ann-arbor/797327-official-class-2014-university-michigan-decisions-thread-19.html#post1063469974

i am so psyched!!
i sent everything in oct 22nd
but…i’m an international applicant so i might get it like waaay back
like in early december or something :(

is there a chance that international student’s application decisions are not updated online but rather get mailed to the applicant?

Nope. tetrisfan is an international and she has received her acceptance on Wolverine Access already. There might be another cycle of decisions tomorrow so keep your fingers crossed.

Coolbreeze just wondering when did you turn in your application? Thanks, because I think I’m going to get deffered to.

if you did not here/recieve any notice of 7th semster grades, while all decisions tomorrow be acceptances, because i was done spt.24, and i am hoping to hear tomorrow, and luckily havent gotten a 7th semester notice…

No, not necessarily. Admissions go on through December, so it’s very possible you could just get deferred or accepted at a later date.

My application was submitted October 16th, but my final supplement was received October 30th. What are my chances of hearing back tomorrow?

True, but you could deductivley reason that, if you A. did not recieve the 7th semester request then B. IF you get a response TOMORROW, it would therefore be an acceptance…But later batches of responses could go either way…
a mouthful to explain…lol

I had everything in by October 9th. Also just to let you know deferrels are given out randomly, I haven’t notice a pattern. I remember signing into my application tracker ( I think it was Monday) and notice 7th semester grades, then later received the letter Friday ( dated Nov 9th). It was between the weeks of every other Thursday, so I definately was surprise to notice a decision. So yeah for deferrels I would say just check account everyday.
