<p>I’m pretty pumped about the fact that UM sent me an email today saying I had missing materials, specifically the 500 word essay, even though I had my app in on 9/14 and all materials in on 11/04. I proceeded to recheck my application, and I realized that I submitted my Ross preadmit essay twice and did not submit my essay about a book that had stimulated me. Not really sure where to go from here, hope I still get into UM. Any advice?</p>

<p>Hope for the best, I guess, man. That removes you from the ED pool, though, so it’s gonna be tougher depending on your stats. The same thing happened to my friend, only it was one of our teachers that submitted his app 4 days after the deadline. There’s not much else you can do other than accept the situation at hand. Sucks to hear that, though. :(</p>

<p>my teacher app got there about a week late. i have no idea when it was postmakred for, though. i thought as long as the app was in, it was okay…??</p>

<p>as long as everything is posted marked by NOV. 1st, you are fine. However, it has to be EVERYTHING…not just the online application itself.</p>

i never told him it had to be in by nov. 1, so he never…made that clear on the envelope.</p>
<p>it means that the mail dudes stamp it, and if it is on or before nov 1st on their stamp, then UM will see that and know that it was sent on NOV 1st on the latest.</p>
<p>The post office “postmarks” things before they send it off. As long as you mail everything by November 1st (2nd actually since 1st = Sunday) you’re fine.</p>
<p>OH, i thought my teacher had to write something on it himself. in that case, i think i’m good
