Congrats to all those who were accepted! My daughter was accepted as a Biological Sciences major. 4.23 GPA (but nor sure of UC GPA), 34 ACT, great ECs and strong essays. Also accepted at UCSD, and UCSB (at Chancellor’s Reception on Sunday).

Waitlisted at UC Davis :frowning: …Which is weird because I got accepted at SD, Irvine, and SB. Oh well.

Essays: I have no idea what a good essay is, but the people I showed thought they were good.

A little surprised. Definitely not a safety, but I was feeling pretty good about my chances. Computer science is just too competitive.

Whoa some of you guys are getting rejected with better profiles than the one I was accepted for last year. o_o UCs are so weird. Then again, I guess biochem isn’t as impacted as engineering.

Anyway, just a tip: if you get an invitation to regents or the honors program and you’re for sure going to Davis, ACCEPT the invitation! The priority registration helps so so so so much. I’ve never had to waitlist for any classes and I’ve gotten the profs I wanted. It’s pretty great, haha. Also the honors GEs are pretty interesting :slight_smile:

Someone I know got in with a 35 ACT/3.9 GPA, and received both Regents and Provost’s.

okay essays but i i guess i was diverse ( won local awards for art and writing)
