can people be accepted into NUIn through early action?
If I am deferred, will I hear back in March?

@Lana22 No they can’t. If you’re not accepted via EA app into the fall, you could be deferred though and RD will have the NUin option.
@highschoolkid1 You are wrong. Students are in fact accepted into NU In both ED (non-binding) and EA. Last year a lot of applicants were offered NU In EA.

Assuming that decisions do come out tomorrow, I just want to wish everyone good luck! As a first-year at Northeastern now, I was literally in the exact same position last year and I haven’t regretted the decision to attend here for a single day.
Most importantly, as many others have said, in the end whether you are accepted to Northeastern or not (or any other school for that matter) will not define your college experience - I was denied to what I thought were more of my top schools, but I honestly can’t envision myself at those places now over Northeastern. All the best!

Good luck to everyone! I know I’m excited to get my decision back, and I’m sure you all are too. Just remember that even if you’re denied or deferred, there are hundreds of colleges out there that would love to have you, and it just means that NEU wasn’t a great fit. Again, good luck to everyone!

Love how everyone is being so supportive and everyone is right, if the outcome is not what you wanted them it’s ok because it wasn’t meant to be, I was rejected from my dream school and wherever you end up I’m sure everything will work out and you were meant to be there

Does geographic diversity help?
I have an after school meeting tomorrow so I won’t be able to check until after 5ish my time (I’m in California), so way after decisions are (hypothetically) released. It’ll be hard not to check, but I would rather be at home for screaming/crying/whatever if necessary.

The contact person listed as my admissions counselor in the Status Check changed.
I don’t know if that is relevant but to me it seems to point to them releasing decisions today.
@peytonmg mine changed a week after I submitted my application, hmmm lets hope we get it real soon
