My son said his portal says 79% complete … 11 out 14 items complete . Anyone else see that?
I wish luck to all of you guys and hopefully decisions come out today! I applied to 5 schools but Northeastern is definitely my top choice. I’m a recruit so the coach practically told me I’m in.
Mine doesn’t give a percentage completed… weird. I know my counselor sent in my mid year grade report.
I think that’s the main admissions page, not the individual portal.
Does anyone know anyone that has gotten in with stats similar to mine?
3.7 GPA
1860 SAT
Top 10% of class
All AP and Honors classes
I have that too. I believe it means for the new website thing that asks about your interests. If you haven’t answered those then it says incomplete
@kristi4806, that may be referring to his student profile on the new website. Maybe it’s saying his profile is 79% complete. Is it a really large “79%” and it appears before he’s logged in?
@kristi4806 I have that too. I think it means for their own personal portal, nothing to do with the application.
@kristi4806- my son’s says the same thing.@underdog2020- yes-it says my son’s midterm report missing but if you look farther down they have been sent. Wishing all of you students the best of luck with results. This is a very stressful month. May you all end up where you were meant to be.
Yes, all the time. Even when I answer the questions, they don’t get updated, I don’t think its a big reason to worry about if the Application Status Check doesn’t show any missing credentials. @kristi4806
@underdog2020, if your mid year report is not sent or is not completed by your counsellor on the CommonApp I guess you’ll be flat out rejected because, that was the reason to why many individuals who applied to Northeastern EA and ED got deferred to regular decision. The mid year reports basically lets the universities know how you’re doing at the moment in school. If uploaded by your counsellor, I suggest you email her and ask her for a PDF copy as soon as possible and upload it on your own on the Application Status Check. Or else, call up Northeastern and let them know that it has been uploaded. If not, I wouldn’t want to be mean but it may ruin your chances even if you’re an outstanding applicant and are fairing well in all the other criterias’ of your application.
@followthelines ok thanks!! I keep mistyping as well :-SS
Everytime I think of getting the notification email I have heart palpitations
@Garyguy909 I talked to my counselor about it and she tried assuring me they were sent and that it was the portal that hadn’t been updated… I don’t know so I’ll probably call.
@underdog2020 , Check CommonApp, click on Northeastern University > go to recommenders and FERPA and see if Northeastern has downloaded your Mid year report. If yes, you’re good to go. If it says submitted, I would recommend calling.
All the best anyway! Hope we get in!
@kristi4806 the same is for my daughter but it’s just for the personal stuff and doesn’t have anything to do with the application itself. I wouldn’t worry about that.
I have my NUID memorized by heart just for this moment lol, really hope it’s today and not Thursday
Accepted EA here. I just wanted to wish you all the best of luck!
I know firsthand how nerve-wracking it is to check decisions. Every time I’ve received one I swear, my heart starts pounding and I’ll just sit in front of my computer for a moment unsure whether or not I should check.
Regardless, I wish you all the best, and I wanted to remind everyone that regardless of the decision you receive - whether accepted, waitlisted, or denied - you are more than your college results. Your decision is not a reflection of you as a person.
Earlier this year, I was heartbroken over a deferral from a school that I had dreamed of since 6th grade, but over the past few months, I have fallen in love with many other schools. Life goes on, and as sad as a rejection is - though I do hope you are all accepted - you will be okay. I promise. Who knows? It might even open your eyes up to newer, better possibilities - as it has for me.
Basically, I just wanted to - again - wish everyone the best of luck, and to remind everyone to keep things in perspective (as difficult as it may seem).
@NotAMathlete Well said
I just really hope its today
