I have a school in common with the infamousJuniorMint?! No way.

According to the NEU website, decisions come back by December 31st, meaning on 12/31 or earlier I suppose. Hopefully earlier.

Northeastern is one of my top choices but I’m assuming it’s a safety for you. Unfortunately I’ll need a boatload of merit aid/financial aid to make it work. :/

What exactly makes me so famous? The excessive bb coding, perhaps… Also, I am glad to share a school with the infamous yankeesfanatic. ;)

Not sure if your assumption is that safe. I am hoping for Northeastern’s full-tuition National Merit scholarship. 4.0/2340 might not be able to do it unless I write an IceQube ™ essay.

I asked earlier and they said that the National Merit scholarship was automatic if you were accepted and were a National Merit finalist and did all the first choice stuff. I’m in the same position you are, hope to go and if I receive the National Merit scholarship (which I should, assuming I was told correctly) I’ll probably go.

Also, SUP! I would be applying early, but recs won’t be done in time. They would be done in time for the new deadline, but I’ll be out of town on the 5th, so I’ll be unable to do the actual submission business. So, I guess I’ll be waiting until spring.

Best of luck to everyone, hopefully we’ll all see each other on campus next year.

I dunno, it was just a joke I suppose. It was strange to see an active HSL’er outside of well…HSL.

I’m not looking for a full-ride or anything crazy like that but hopefully my stats are good enough for something around 25-30k in combined scholarship and need aid.

Yanks, it is not that strange. I have roughly twice as many posts in HSL as in regular forums, but when you are applying to ten schools, you are bound to run into someone somewhere.

Last year the release date for notification was on December 16th. Also from what I recall different parts of country heard at different times. Good Luck!!

Hey everybody, I applied EA earlier this week. Northeastern is second choice school, right behind UChicago (my chances are dismal there and Northeastern is more of a match).

I spent two weeks this summer doing Northeastern’s Summer Pre-College program and I loved it there.

Anyways, is there a standard date that EA decisions come in for Northeastern, like the Friday of the third week of December, or is it different every year?

EDIT: Looks like stresseddad sort of answered my question at the exact moment I replied. Weird haha. Thanks!

I think you’re thinking of someone else haha. I’ve seen him post on here before, I think his name is 2400brah or something similar. I’m not a legacy and I only got a 2080 :l

I’m applying Poli Sci, future lawyer here :P

EDIT: OMG. I just skimmed over that page that JuniorMint posted, and I watched the video. They interview Professor Lazer. There’s a man in the compsci department named Professor Lazer. That’s so cool.

Hey guys I fell in love with this school since the first time I have heard of it ! I want to study Behavioral Neuroscience, even though I want to become an optometrist (majoring in Biology just doesn’t seem all so exciting) and I would love to learn about Neuroscience since i guess it does sorta in a weird way relate to optometry. I’ve applied EA for Northeastern in about the beginning of October. But I have one concern about my application. Is it fine if my teacher gives her recommendation past Nov 5th. I sent everything else in just not the recommendation :/

I’ve been to Boston once, and it is very beautiful! And I am definitely looking for a college close to a major city, and Northeastern is one. I plan on visiting in January, but only if I get accepted or deferred, hopefully :)
