@BronxKid tell me about it
I’m not even going to check anything anymore…I thought I was pretty competitive
@transferind97 Same here! I’m very sad about the possibility of staying at my current school. I have never been more unhappy in my life. Hopefully some good news will come our way
I go to a school in NY. Don’t want to be more specific. I really don’t know where it went wrong for Cornell and Columbia. Maybe the fact that I’m international. But, rn I don’t even know what I’m feeling… why does this keep happening…
@transferind97 sorry to hear. a big part of transfer admissions comes down to the transfer rationale. Even someone from harvard can get rejected at another Ivy if they just “feel like” switching to a different school. Generally this means there must be some sort of “academic” reason. This is often the fall of many students in transfer admissions. Why do you want to leave your current institution?
Because I want to take certain classes that aren’t available at my current school.
I even explained why I wanted to take those classes that I wanted to.
Also rejected from cornell + upenn, thought I was fairly competitive than got shut down like no other
what program did you apply to? @Buttmuncher321
CAS Econ but it’s unlikely Columbia’s gonna accept since I got the previous rejections
Acceptance into these crazy competitive schools is a long shot for anyone, don’t get yourselves down! @Buttmuncher321 @transferind @BronxKid I’m sure you’re all amazing and will do great things in life no matter what bumps in the road you encounter. Good luck tomorrow!
Good luck everyone. Try not to stress about it the entire day lol. You don’t know what it’ll be until you see it, so just keep it out of mind.
This is all that you guys see on the portal right?

All the best to every single one of you tomorrow! I know this process is incredibly difficult and frustrating to go through, but you will survive this, and I know no matter what happens, you all will be so successful in the future! I know some people who have been rejected from Barnard but accepted to Columbia (transfer)…point is you never know!
Remember that you all have tried your very best, and there’s nothing more you can do. So if it ends up being a rejection, please don’t blame yourselves!
@transferind97 Im sorry to hear you got all rejections so far. It must be really difficult, and wishing you tons of luck! I know it is the most frustrating thing ever to stay at a school that doesnt fulfill your academic needs, but on the bright side, if you go to school in New York already…maybe you can take some classes at Columbia through their exchange program
Thank you so much for the positivity! @gymasticsfan321
no waitlisted in transferring?
Supposedly they do have a waitlist @kitty1
Yes, there is a wait list. Is anyone nervous yet? lol
