OFFICIAL Columbia University Class of 2017 ED Results

Putting lot of my attention and interest in game really helps me in reducing my obsession to Columbia decision result. At least while I game, I can forget all my obsession with university.

Not to be pessimistic, but I don’t think we’ll hear back by the 6th. I’m going to predict around the 13th because of Sandy. Not sure how many people here are from the eastern seaboard but I live in Upstate NY and trust me when I say that things here were BAD and NYC especially was hit hard. The fact that Columbia extended the deadline to mid-November to kids in this region makes it unrealistic for them to be ready even earlier than last year. And I know there was an extension last year too, but the damage was negligible compared to Sandy.
I mean, I really hope I’m wrong, but…

13th seems reasonable to mee. Either way, we’ve got about 2-3 weeks to go. Hang on you guys.

Canadian112, how many universities are you planning to apply if you don’t make it in ED round?

Let’s look on the bright side; if we get decisions the 13th, we only have 16 days, 5 hours, 38 minutes, and 30 seconds until we know. I’m not so anxious that I’m obsessing or anything…obviously.

Guys I really feel that they are going to send them next week sometime. I really do…

Wow when I read “next week” I got chills. It’s closer than my next bio test…

I feel like they are gonna send out the decisions next thursday.

@ hobbesette, to answer your previous question, I submitted mine almost four hours before the deadline on the 5th. I think you’re fine, relax (:

If this helps anyone, I just got an email back from the Columbia after I sent them one almost three weeks ago, so if you’ve sent them stuff, maybe they’re finally updating the system? Personally, I don’t think the decisions will come out on the 6/7th but more of 13/14th. But the faster the better… deadlines for other colleges are coming up and I don’t want to hold back on submitting any longer than I have to.

Unfortunately that’s after my next bio test… So I guess this one isn’t the one to take a celebratory no-study. #DownWithHormones
And frankly let’s hope you optimists are right! If it’s coming the 6th, then we have 9 days, 21 hours, 50 minutes, and 2 seconds.

@HateSMUS, I think around 10 for Regular.

Guys, my friend got asked to do interview for Columbia (He lives in CT) through skype just today and it was scheduled to be done this saturday.
Given this, I don’t think it will come out next week. 13th sounds more reasonable?

They said that interviews have to be completed by the 3rd of December.

You’re probably right. The website does say mid December so it’s not like they’re obligated to send it out the week of 6/7

I highly doubt it’ll be the 6th… I have a feeling it’ll be the 13th. Which is so freaking weird (See: Username).

Yale is releasing on the 15 along with the other ivies im not sure if Columbia follows suit

It has always been thursday, not saturday tho o_o you sure about yale releasing it on 15th?

@hobbesette Yale is releasing on the 14th i believe, and other ivies have selected other dates such as the 12th and 13th. The past few years, Columbia has released on the second Thursday of December, which would be the 13th this year.

I’m putting my money on December 13th given the setbacks with Sandy, and their tradition of releasing decisions on a Thursday.

Yale actually is the 14th. However, in the past Columbia, UPenn, and Cornell (as far as I know) have released their decisions a good week or so before HYP released theirs…

I’ve read that all the Ivies release on/before the 15th, and as Ballislife said… it’s been the second Thursday last few years. So, yeah. 13th is looking real, but of course no confirmation at all.
