OFFICIAL Columbia University Class of 2017 ED Results

I think I’ll call them tomorrow morning and ask what’s up… why do I get the feeling that this is an early sign of rejection lol.

I think maybe they don’t let you see financial aid until decisions. Maybe? Haha who knows. Hopefully not rejection. That would make it too obvious for everyone anyways.

I also just got the e-mail about an hour ago. The subject for mine, however, says “Thank You: Columbia Financial Aid Application = Complete.” Also, I called the financial aid office last week on Wednesday about the Code IA error, and they said it would probably be working this week. Financial aid tracking still doesn’t work for me. However, I’m not going to worry, because the e-mail also says this: “Thank you for your application for admission to Columbia University. At this time your financial aid application is complete. We will contact you directly in the event that we require any additional documentation.”

On the main Columbia website, it says the ED FA tracking will be available starting November 26th, which was yesterday, so it should be ready by now.

Colum, was that the only email you received? The one I got said something like: Reminder Columbia ED Financial Aid deadline Nov 15. It just told me to review my FA status online in case there’s any missing paperwork.

Yes, that’s the only e-mail I got. Also, I’m still getting the message “We are unable to activate your account. Please contact your financial aid office and refer to Code IA,” so I don’t know what’s up.

I received the same email (the reminder email) even though we submitted our CSS in October and faxed my parent’s taxes on Nov. 11. This has me worried.

I guess we’ll all be calling them tomorrow…

@mrspotter: wait, who was your host…? I think admission officers are not allowed to tell the decision date unless officially announced. Also, from some current columbian students, I heard the decision will almost certainly come out before 15th. They were in conviction, so yea… I want to know the authority of your host.

i’m in the same situation as Colum… email says its complete but i can’t log into the portal. I’m not going to worry about it.

I’m betting on the decision to come out on the 6th

The fin aid portal is up and running now. At least for me.

Me too, except it says some stuff is incomplete, even though we sent everything.

This is what mine looks like: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/36098814/finaid.PNG</a></p>

The first three items don’t matter. Those (FAFSA, 2012 W-2 forms, 2012 tax return) are only applicable after Jan. 1st, 2013, IFF you are accepted.

So, my dad told me that he had submitted the Non-Custodial CSS Profile, but it turns out that he never did. Is that a knock against me that I am submitting some of my financial aid information late?

Well I mean, apparently my dad never sent in a copy of the 2012 tax return, so he’ll do that today. I’m assuming it won’t hurt you, Columbiafanatic, as it could potentially apply to me as well. shrugs

2012 Tax return isn’t due yet. Only the 2011 tax returns and CSS profile were due on Nov. 15th… 2012 tax returns and W-2 forms and FAFSA are due in like April.

Whoops, 2011 I meant. Sorry! If only I could edit my post.

I keep on receiving the error as well. By the way on my CSS Profile it said the Columbia decision date is December 6th. I am not sure if this is correct but it could be a sign that decisions are coming out next week!

I also saw Dec. 6th as the decision date on my CSS profile, but next to it, it also says 3/28 is the regular decision date… Do they really decide the reg decisions dates this early? But I hope the 6th is right.

Hey guys, I applied for financial aid but I never sent anything in, and I didn’t know I was supposed to until I saw the email yesterday. I will send everything I need to now, but will the office get it in time? Will the fact that they don’t have any of those forms affect my admissions decision?

6th would be Fantastic!
