<p>they’re not required, not every school is in quarters.</p>
<p>As long as you have strong grades it probably doesn’t matter much. I don’t even think it matters much in the first place so you’re fine.</p>
<p>Guys i just read through the thread in 2015. I found out that they also found out the decisiob date from the css profile. Well. The decision date was 9th and they got the email on 6th(seems in the afternoon) </p>

<p>I was looking at Columbia’s housing options for freshman though, and they have the fall 2013 new student check in date already, August 26th and 25th for new students who don’t live on the east coast.

<p>I’m kind of obsessed with Columbia but I’m trying to get myself obsessed with other schools. As of right now I also really like Tufts. Tufts’ figures fit better with mine so I think I’ll be happy waiting for Tufts’ response right afterwards. 
If I don’t get into either though… someone is going to pay! hahaha</p>
<p>My friend is in love with Tufts. Personally my second choice is Pomona. Both are excellent schools. Darn their acceptance rates though!</p>

<p>Guys, thinking about Columbia and lurking this forum too often have been detrimental to my productivity. I believe I’ll have to take a break from this for a while. Now, now, I know I will be missed deeply, but I promise I’ll be back soon, probably by around Wednesday.</p>
<p>I will drive myself to Coldstone and order the biggest, most unhealthy waffle bowl of ice cream I’ve ever had if I get accepted. All those bad times (i.e. waking up at 3:54 to get all of my homework done) would’ve paid off!</p>
