What program was it? O: that fast?

Is it bad that I didn’t get an interview request yet? Should I email them?

Columbia asks you not to email admissions as the alumni network handles interviews. The volume of applicants in your area may be too great for the number of willing alumni volunteers. Interviews are assigned without any bearing on the merit of the applicant and the lack of an interview will not hurt you admissions-wise. Just relax we have a month until decisions :)

In case you are still obsessing, it is my (completely unprofessional) belief that interviews have little effect on the overall application. The interviews are conducted by alumni volunteers and are less evaluative and more conversational. In my opinion, the main benefit is to the applicant as you can ask personal questions about Columbia life. Do you know any alumni? Perhaps they can answer some questions for you.

^ I agree. Interviews should affect decisions very little, especially because not every applicant is offered one. I live in the small Southern town, so my chances of getting an interview are incredibly slim; nobody’s even applied to Columbia in my school for years!

Anyone else’s SAT scores still pending? I sent mine through CB early last week but it seems to be taking a while to send… I emailed the admissions office but they haven’t responded yet. I hope my November scores go through pretty quickly.

Okay, is it a bit strange that Columbia wants an interview with me, but the representative is a senior at the college?

I have the same question as feedback411 regarding to the SAT scores. I looked “Track application”, it shows “No Tests on file”. I’ve sent the scores last month. Does anyone have the same problem? Any response from you is appreciated. Thanks.

Accepted for Fall 2013, Architecture.

How did you already get your results?

you can’t get ED result this early. Only official release of ED admission result in mid December informs students. WarreJor is trolling

Does anyone know the statistics of how many “unqualified” applicants apply ed? Is it all just a massive amount of over-the-top geniuses or are there a bit of average students, as well?

Just got contacted for my interview. Lady/man says they can’t conduct in person and so it’ll be on the phone… I don’t know if this is a good or bad thing…

same here karatekid666!! also can someone answer my previous question pleaaaassse

Hey! It’s so nice to talk to other people applying to Columbia because I’m the only one from my school. I’m so ready to know whether I got in or not. I sent in my application November 2nd or 3rd.

I didn’t get an interview. I think I would have done well on an interview as long as I didn’t let the nerves take over me, but oh well!

I’m really nervous! I have low scores (for Columbia) but I think my GPA, EC’s, essays, and Teacher Recs could possibly make up for it.

Good luck to everyone!!!

Just finished my interview! they didn’t ask me any questions pertinent to Columbia at all!! Idk why, but okay. Hopefully all goes well lol

What do you mean raca?? Was it all personal?

yea I would say that it was more personal. you will be fine though. it really isn’t bad

Oh gosh, I’m so nervous. Oh well…

My child has an interview scheduled this weekend.

I just got a call for an interview!! I wasn’t expecting it at all but I’m really excited and super nervous

Freaking out a little, I really hate waiting for things like this…
