Ha… Dreams are so weird…

I am listening to Empire State of Dream right now. OMG NEW YORK xD

I keep forgetting to breathe and then my face turns Blue

Wow I can’t believe its tommorow.

@Canadian112 I’ve listened to Hey There Delilah at every day right before I go to bed for the past two weeks >.< proceeds to play it now and dance while getting dressed lol

New York, Concrete Jungle where Dreams are made …
Make my dream come to NY

The nervousness makes sense now, the music you’re listening to will be the death of you (or a contribution to a panic attack that I’m going to put money down that some of you are going to have before tomorrow@5)

I am freaking out! Please Thursday come sooner :D

If I had a song titled “why new york sucks and you don’t want to go there” I would be listening to it on repeat right now…

GuyZ I’m brainstorming reasons why I DON"T want to go to Columbia anyone wanna help me out here??

Why Columbia sucks:

New York is Expensive

The logo looks like the crown from the Juicy Couture logo, so unless it says Columbia it might look like you’re wearing some cheap brand thing.

I heard school spirit is eh

It’s right next to New Jersey

:P

I cannot think of a single reason why i wouldn’t want to go there.

Me neither, and I don’t even wanna try. Staying positive and optimistic is the only thing keeping me sane at this point…

guys im just wondering, if i do get accepted to columbia (not saying at the slightest that I will…lol) am i still allowed to apply to other countries? im an international student and im pretty sure that the ED agreement only restricts applying to other colleges within US?

why would you apply to schools in other countries? …you’re bound to go to columbia if you’re accepted ED

Because international students are not guaranteed need-based financial aid.
But then again, if you know you can’t afford it, i don’t know if its the best thing to apply for it.

@Franstar - Hahaaha, if New York ends up sucking for me that bad (whether or not I end up at CU), I will write that song and title it that same name in your honor.
@Orange - Reason 4 is a big one. Something most students should’ve given more thought about before applying to Columbia
(T-minus 29.5 hours)

Honestly I think everyone in this forum should take a very deep breath and chill out! Yes Columbia is one of the best in the world if not the best but guys and girls i think what we are all after is not just columbia. Then you can all consider yourself fortunate of having the means to access this forum. Billions of people would dream of that, so I can assure you that you are all already a big step ahead of a lot of people. Also the fact that you have applied to Columbia University also proves that you know and believe you could make it there, if you have that confidence in yourself then don’t just throw it down the drain now, don’t just slam the brakes people, DONT STOP BELIEVING…JUST HOLD ON TO THAT FEEELING! Yeah seriously!

Best of luck to all of you, and don’t stress too much about not getting in, it is not the end of your life, the world keeps on spinning and days keep on passing, so keep your head up and fight for what you truly are after.

@corrinder94 I think you can, because of financial aid purposes only though. Students in the US who applied ED can also be lifted from ED, but only because of financial aid issues.

I know this, because I halked to the people in the admin office about it. I live in Texas, and am a US citizen, but because of my families financial situation. If the financial aid package Columbia gave me, if I got in, was still too much for my family to handle, and I recieved a better financial aid offer from another institution I could go there, even though I applied to Columbia ED.

I’m sure this policy applies to international students as well, especially because you arent offered need-based aid.

I heard, because Columbia’s financial resources for internationals are so strictly limite (and it’s need-based) , it dramatically lowers one’s chance if an international applies Columbia ED with FA.
