@rishav- Dartmouth. Not Princeton. And just cause the colleges didn’t suit me. I couldn’t go to Dartmouth because it’s not the right fit. As hackneyed as that sounds. :P

@kevink- CONGRATS! As you said, “it’s good to know that they don’t only look for the perfect score students”. :)

what a jerk, even if that was true the best way to find out is officially, trust me. Barnard had me in a rut about my decision for days with their portal mishap.

Are we still listing the orders we’re checking Ivy decisions in? :D

Yale (most likely reject)
Harvard (applied on whim, so feels a bit impersonal)
Princeton (favorite, but knowing accepted students’ stats, mine aren’t exactly deserving. I feel like I haven’t earned an acceptance, so I’ll be relatively fine)

Columbia last, because I know I got in. Checking last = ointment for ego :)

Actually, I’m really glad I applied to Columbia. I wasn’t interested in the Ivies as a group, but was sucked in by the glamor of HYPSM(+C?) as the academic top. I think I only applied to Columbia on a whim, because a blogger I liked went there. :o Yikes. And now I’m imagining how bad I would’ve been going to feel if I checked HYP decisions with no Columbia afterwards.

The Committee on Admissions has carefully reviewed your application to Columbia University, and we are sorry to inform you we cannot offer you a place in Columbia’s Class of 2017.

Well…
Going to Colorado Schools of Mines at the end… ^^
