Official Cornell Class of 2018 Waitlist Thread

Any internationals?

me! although I guess I don’t count since I haven’t received anything from them… yet…

For anybody asking about international students, I was accepted off the waitlist for CALS last Thursday and I am international! Good luck to everybody who is still waiting :slight_smile:

How did they contact you?

First I received an email from my regional officer asking me to confirm my interest within 24 hours. I did so immediately and the day after I received my admissions letter via email!

That’s amazing! Congratulations!

@sunnysideup96 was it Dyson??

@sgsg13 Nope it wasn’t…

Bumping in case anyone hears today but doesn’t see this thread.

i’ve been checking this thread every couple of hours for the last 96 hours :-SS :-SS :-SS

^^ My life.

Please keep the faith - as I mentioned in an earlier post, my son did not hear until June from admissions that he was “in”, if he wanted to become a member of the Class of 2017 - COE.

That’s what’s giving me hope!

Around when do they send rejection letters to waitlisted students?

There maybe a summer melt. Harvard and other higher tier schools are going to their WL, which means some committed Cornell students may go to those schools instead, which will open up some spots for people on the WL. This usually has a domino effect.

Very true^ Cornell is more likely to give more wait list offers than other ivies.

Any news guys??

Any word from the College of Engineering?

any word from… ANYWHERE? LOL

^well, I got rejected from the other school I was waitlisted at… Guess that doesn’t count though…
