which one? @kevbp5

This is absolutely not true. In the last few years, Cornell didn’t go to the WL because they over admitted. They had to put students in temporary housing. The way you should read my post is “schools like Harvard, MIT…are going to their WL this year, therefore there is a higher probability Cornell may be part of summer melt.”

Is it safe to say that since, as of now, only CALS and SHA have gone to their waitlist according to this thread, the other schools have, for now, met their freshman class size and will only extend offers based on summer melt?

Why haven’t they sent out rejections yet???

No more movement here. Now the end of May. That is? No more offer will be made? And rejection on its way??

Keep the faith.

On another thread someone noted their son got in off the wait list yesterday,

Do you remember which thread that was, blprof? Am interested in knowing which school his/her son got accepted to.

Here is the post:
<a href=“Need HELP ASAP - Cornell vs Vanderbilt premed programs!! - College Search & Selection - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-search-selection/1654745-need-help-asap-cornell-vs-vanderbilt-premed-programs-p1.html

From reading the thread, it sounds like A&S.

Did anyone receive emails from Cornell about the waitlist? It’s June 1st, and I can’t believe the university didn’t send any of the waitlistees a single letter/email. They should know how hard this wait is and at least inform us how things are going.

@glorious1234 I couldn’t have said it better myself. (y)

@sgsg13 woops just saw your reply. Penn engineering. I feel like something’s gotta be coming our way from Cornell soon… They’ve had going on 2.5 months now.

@kevbp5 sorry to hear that. I’m still on the active W/L for Wharton. I really hope Cornell breaks the silence soon,

Thanks. Yeah, this wait is getting pretty exhausting. I’m even starting to lose hope not in the idea that I’m not as confident about getting accepted, but I almost don’t want to switch schools if I do get it. Of course, I’ll do that if it happens, but it is a wearying process. Good luck with Wharton (and Cornell as well). I thought I saw on the Penn thread that a fair amount of people were getting off Wharton’s list (far more so than Cornell), so hopefully, you’ll make it.

I called the school of engineering admissions last Friday and they told me that they were making decisions this week which means that everyone should probably find out sometime next week. Don’t hold me to that though. Not sure about the other colleges though.

holy crap it’s late. I’ve literally not heard a word from Cornell since Ivy Day, when I sent an email to re-express my interest. I thought that it’d take a while, but seriously? June?

@Tarheel714 Yeah the waves of students getting in off the waitlist have basically been college by college, and I’m pretty sure they left college of engineering last or almost last.

Well, here we go then! Good luck to all in this final countdown (in which we still don’t know the exact numbers)!

Finally, got my rejection mail today! Good luck everyone.

What College did you apply for in Cornell? Was it CoE?
