the difference between dec 11 and dec 15 is bearable lol

anyone applying as a FSAD major?

For everyone checking their “to-do list,” mine was empty before AND after I submitted the CSS (which was Nov 2nd).
Basically, it doesn’t do anything

had a panic attack when i saw I was a day late bc the portal never notified me lol

Yeah Cornell should probably fix that…a to do list w/o things on it is kind of useless…especially when people are relying on it

Regarding the CSS profile: when you check your FA status on Cornell’s site this is what is says:

“Please note: CSS PROFILE data will not be updated to Cornell’s system until late November 2014. If you have already submitted your CSS PROFILE, please check back after November 24 to see if Cornell has received your CSS PROFILE.”

@annwank the problem is that it never even appeared in the To Do List in the Financial Aid section.

@BPearlman97 hmmm, this is odd. Assuming you did submit CSS appropriately through college board, maybe you should give FA a call. Or maybe they are pretty far behind. Who knows? It would be great if their systems provided better information for everybody–this would make their jobs a lot easier not having to field call after call…

@annwank The same thing is on my to do list even though I submitted it. I even have the receipt from College Board.

@Kungpaoasian, I’d honestly just give it some time. If, by the end of November, it still has not registered that you submitted, that is when I’d take action. If you called up Cornell’s Financial Aid Office then, you can easily ask them if they need anything more from you; since you have the receipt, that cannot penalize you for lateness, it is not your fault. But again, give it a couple of weeks, the school is still processing thousands of documents, it’s not done instantaneously.

Hey guys, early decision applicant to ILR here. Will we get an email on the 15th? I was kinda hoping for the tangible letter type deal.

@khagedorn96 I think what happens is we get an email with a link in it, and the link takes us to a page in the portal where our decision is (My sister got in last year and that’s what she said happened).

Im EDing to Ag school, for Environmental Engineering

Thanks @BroomOfThought. Any idea how many days in advance your sister was notified of the decision date (they must have sent an email before letting her know on what day to check the portal)

Here’s the Early Decision Notification Update from 2013. Apparently, they sent everyone an email on Dec 5 announcing Dec 16 as the decision release date. I suppose we can expect a similar announcement in the first week of December? http://admissions.cornell.edu/news/early-decision-notification-update-0

Because I have nothing better to do :-), I did some searches to see when the updates/decisions came our in the last few years.

2013 Update sent on Dec 5 Decisions on Dec 16 @ 5 PM EST
2012 Update sent on Dec 11 Decisions on Dec 13
2011 Update sent on ??? Decisions on Dec 8
2010 Update sent on ??? Decisions on Dec 9
2009 Update sent on ??? Decisions on Dec 10

Sure like that Dec.8th decision date in 2011, the soon the better. Thanks @fsharp!

When I filled out the CSS, the date College Board said results would be out by is December 19th. This may just be the latest it can be, so results may come out earlier.

Late post, but I applied ED to ILR. Good luck from NJ! :)

^ Where’s all the CAS applicants/odd that there are fewer cc people applying to CAS than to the much smaller colleges like ILR (about 1/5 the size) and CHE (about 1/4 the size)? Guess we need a larger sample size?

Has anyone else’s guidance counselor received a call? Mine did today, but is going to call back tomorrow. She said she doesn’t know what they wanted. I am freaking out that I am in trouble for something.
