@jjred7 they do! i called and asked because I took the ACT today and you can send your scores from the test

I remembered reading something about Cornell ED II on CC here, but it was from like 2010. No one knows if you can apply ED II?

Cornell does not offer ED II, and I don’t know that they ever did.

SAT scores will be accepted early November, but scores from November testing may reach university after application has already been considered. The admission site does not say they won’t consider Nov test scores, but that there are no guarantees.

Sorry for bumping into this thread, but for those who are sending their ACT scores, are we require to send ALL or just the highest one?

Cornell doesn’t really specify, other than that they don’t participate in score choice for SAT.

@airspirit They want to see your whole testing history, not just your best test.

anyone got likely letter from Cornell?
Do they send only to athletes?

@Kungpaoasian Kk thanks, i just sent both of my scores. Cornell should really specify it more clearly on their website though lol

I just submitted my common app the other day. Does anyone know how long it takes to get an confirmation email from cornell?

Hey. I’m applying ED to CAS as an econ major. I’m so excited!!

Good luck guys! I was an EDer last year so PM me if you have questions about the process!

@Boester22 Do you know if people receive likely letters when applying ED?

It clearly says on Cornell website that you must send all ACT scores.

"Does Cornell participate in Score Choice?

No, Cornell does not participate in Score Choice. When you send your SAT scores we ask that you send us all of your scores, including all Subject Test scores. When sending your ACT scores, send us all test dates. This allows our selection committee to review the scores that are most supportive to your application. It is to your advantage to send all scores!"

@Kungpaoasian I remember several people receiving them RD round, haven’t heard of anyone who got one ED…you find out so early anyways and it’s binding so likely letters don’t really have a purpose.

@bsalum yeah, but if you scroll down to the comments section, the moderator (tw34) replies to one applicant:

Jo: “Hi, If I have taken both the SAT and ACT, but only want to submit the ACT, is that okay to do? Also, the instructions state to send all the SAT scores if sending the SAT scores, but does not give that same instruction on the ACT scores. Can I send only the highest ACT score I had? Thank you.”

tw34: “Jo, yes, you can choose to submit only your highest ACT score.”

Cornell gives an ambiguous answer…

@airspirit that FAQ page is like 4 years old lol.

Hi~No questions so far. But it is really nice to have you here~

hmmm, @airspiirit, that is ambiguous. You are right. Even though it’s from 2011, the Adcom should edit/remove it if it’s no longer valid.

Applying ED to CALS with a major in Animal Science! :(|)

@CaptainVantastic True haha. I guess I’m just getting paranoid.

@bsalum yup, but either way I sent all my scores just in case. I’m shocked as well that Cornell hasn’t fixed it, or cleared it up, b/c I heard many had to resort to calling the admissions offices instead. They received mixed answers too.
