Official Cornell Class of 2019 Early Decision

@mlc6247, good question, I don’t think we know yet if it’s 5 PM EST…I’ve got practice until 6, might be a looong drive home

Def skip because if I do get in I’ll just scream and make a fool of myself and if denied it’ll just be awk haha

@BroomOfThought‌ On the official CU page?/can you link to it? ((:

I checked both and didn’t see anything, but the again I’m in my phone. However, the admission office will be closed tomorrow until Decemebr 1st for all of those curious lol

Applied ED to CALS, Animal Science major. Alternate admission to CAS, undecided major. I have an interview with an alum on Friday - any idea of what to expect?

@lmcmahon97‌ Heeey CALS AnSci buddies haha I had mine last week and it was really laid back. She started by telling me about her experience and then I asked her a bunch of random questions about her time at Cornell and other things about the school. The only thing she asked me was to tell her what was on my resume because they don’t get to see any of that. She didn’t even ask me why I wanted to go to Cornell explicitly. I wouldn’t worry too much about it, just have some questions ready.

@hopefulrm Thank you so much! Big help!! :)

Maine

I hope I have something to do on Dec.11th, but the thing is my dance practice is on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and our homecoming will be on Dec.9the (Tuesday)… My last class ends at 2:30

@hopefulrm‌ Search for the page called ‘Cornell Class of 2019 Applicants’

Hey everyone, I am the original creator of the forum  I created this back in Early October so that we could all talk about our experience through this process and I am so excited that everyone has been doing exactly that. It is crazy that there have been 53k+ views on this forum and as of now 800+ posts. I hope these next few weeks fly by fast for everyone and we finally get our decisions. It has been a great experience to read everyones posts. Keep it up!

-Hopefully Cornell 2019 Student

Two weeks from today…
And Happy Thanksgiving! ~:>

Acceptance rate is like a 4 sided coin. 2 of you 9 are gonna get heads.

NY

@ToolBoy‌ completely disagree. By your logic if I apply to every Ivy League I would get in to at least one. I don’t think acceptance rates are a good indicator of your chances, there’s a lot of stories (and people I know) of being accepted to more selective colleges while being denied to “easier” ones.

@ToolBoy yeah that statement doesn’t make sense. I completely agree with @Cornell19.

@ToolBoy, are you a Cornell ED app?

Acceptance is like a 4,782 sided coin. 1,338 of us are going to get heads (winning).

*Disclaimer: Numbers are subject to slight variance. If heads, you must attend Cornell.

Any news on the total number of ED applicants?

Probably higher than last year.
